Yes, that's right.  The older uploads would still be referenced from the original location.  To move them you'd need to either re-upload them or write a script to do it manually.  No easy way to migrate uploads between folders, unfortunately.

The section has existed for awhile and has numerous records, and uploaded file. And those files currently upload to the main /uploads directory. But now I would like to change the location of these uploads to a custom directory.

I assume if I make this change, the previously uploaded files won't move automatically, correct? Is there a way for me to move them?
