The price and capabilities of hosting can really vary a lot. Personally, I think the market needs some regulation.

We've used https://www.liquidweb.com/ and they're very good with well-regarded support.  It's generally all-around in a premium service.

And interactivetools.com runs on an OVHcloud dedicated server.  You can get them in the UK here:

It depends on what you need.  A dedicated server is cheaper (and very powerful) if you have lots of sites to host, but we manage that one ourselves.  Liquid Web can provide managed services.

Both of those have data centres in London.

I've been using the same host for my websites for the past 15 years, but they are becoming increasingly unreliable, and the once excellent personal support has been replaced with AI. Can anyone recommend a good host company based in the UK.
