thanks for the suggestion ("admin_head"). I've updated my code. I actually tried that earlier before I really understood the difference between addFilter and addAction and I kept getting wierd results because I wasn't returning anything with addFilter. Works perfectly now, thanks!

You can perhaps modify the value of the heading.

To replace : Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

with :

Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8

Hi Djulia and others,

I’ve made some modifications and added some variables to add_notify.php to work with my application and they works perfectly.

I’m stuck on how to insert a link in the sent email message that’s generated from something like this:

Note: One of the defined variables is: $recNum = mysql_insert($tableName,$columnsToValues);

When I insert that, instead of a clickable link, I get the href code in the actual email, like this:

I’m sure it’s something simple, but I can’t seem to figure it out.

Yeah - thanks to Djulia.

I've attached a file that adds a record to the database, then check to see which users should get notified of the addition... it checks the accounts table for the project & the category of the addition, and compares it to user privileges.

I have noticed though that it works if you update the record via the admin, however if you edit via an upload form, the email isn't generated?

I've tested with this version, and see the message, but no email coming through. I have checked the email address under general settings, and have checked my server spam...

Can You test this version?

You must have a message which indicates that the email was sent (in bottom of the page).

That makes it possible to check if the first function works correctly.

I the plugin alertSavedRecord.php version 1.00 still functional for CMSB v2.11?

I just want a simple notification to admin email for any new or modified record, but it's not working for me.

The field checkbox must be named activation_email_sent in the User Accounts section :

Field Label == Active
Field Name == activation_email_sent

You have an error message ?

Hello,

Could you please explain in a bit more detail how to setup the "Active" checkbox field in the User Accounts section so that it actually performs its function?

I have added the "Active" checkbox but there must be something else required to make it work, no?
