Hello,

My company website uses CMS Builder and has done for a few years, but the site itself is looking a bit dated. I've been trying to find a developer in Australia that knows of and is willing to use CMS Builder but every one i've contacted either tries to push me to Wordpress/Joomla or something exotic. I'm just after a design I can use as a front end for CMS Builder, not a complete site!

Anyone know anyone in Australia who understands CMS Builder and won't try to sell me the Sydney Harbour Bridge?

From reading other posts & looking at the sites of others, I can see that this part is easy. But I would like to know if it's possible to link to the most recent record in the hard coded link?
From what I can see, the records keep going up by 1 for every new page, so you get www.mypage.com/products/page=1, followed by page=2, etc. So how can you have a link that always goes to the most recent record?

I have another question:

Because we have so many different kinds of product, there would be some items we sell that would have different kinds of specification to others. Is there any way of making the output show only fields that have data inputted for them?

For example: Say we have Product A. & Product B.
Product A is electrically powered, while product B is air-powered. For both Product A and Product B, we would need fields for weight and dimensions, and for a description, but only product A would require a field for voltage and only B would require a field for air pressure. But we would not want a Voltage field to display for an air-powered product, and vice versa.
So, if entering data for Product A, the Air Pressure field is left blank (not filled out in the input form) and when the product page is viewed, the Air Pressure field is not even shown.

I hope this is clear :)

Hi,
I've been looking at the information available here on CMS Builder and it looks very interesting. However, I have a question I need answered before I go any further towards purchasing:

I would be purchasing for our company website. At present, all of our site is static and doesn't change much, so I (as maintainer/updater/builder) can change things fairly easily - except for the Products section. We have a large number of products from a large number of suppliers.

Currently the products section is set up as follows:

Products (main page) has a list of suppliers. Each supplier on the list is a link to another page which in most cases is an overview of the supplier, with a menu at left which lists categories of products from that supplier. Each item on this menu is a link to a page with one or more products listed, each product will have a photo and specifications and in some cases a link to a data sheet in PDF. The information required for each product can vary in the amount and type of information required.

My question is, would it be difficult to set up a system using CMS Builder so that a non-technical person could enter Suppliers, Categories, Products and Information, and edit/ maintain this easily in the case of product changes etc? I understand in basic terms how it works, but i'm a bit sketchy on the details :)
