Fields are missing

Hi,

One of our clients is using V1.23 and following fields aren't available

Hidden
AutoPublish Start Date
AutoPublish End Date

Can you help me by telling me why those fields aren't there? Or wasn't that available in V1.23 and do I just have to install an update?

License question

Hi,

I have a question about the license. What I want to know is if I can use a license multiple times on the same domain. Let me give an example to explain.

Say I have mydomain.com and I want to use CMS Builder on that. So it would be mydomain.com/cmsAdmin/admin.php.
A bit later I make a subdomain : sub.mydomain.com and I also want CMS on that. Can i use the same license on that like the one on mydomain.com? It's the same domain and client.

If not is there another way to like use CMS Builder globaly over that domain. Because I tried it now and it keeps going to mydomain.com to get info instead of going to sub.mydomain.com.

Dynamic Photo gallery

Hi,

I'm creating a photo galelry. I wanted to know if there's a possibility to know the width and height of a picture (entire picture not the thumb) in the upload field when you click a thumb (in my case a little number). The reason I need this is to make the iframe, where the pic loads, Dynamic.

When you click the link you'll see three numbers, when you click them a picture will load. When you click number one you'll see a picture and the rest of the iframe is white. But my client's site is in Black so that's a rather ugly view. so i want the iframe to dynamicly change to the widht and height of every picture so you don't see the white.
Do you understand what I mean? Would be cool if this was possible [:)]

Hi,

I had the same message when I upgraded tot cms v1.15. Just look into your Control Panel and change the php version to version bigger dan 4.x. That did the trick for me. 'GD' is something that has to be enabled in your php.ini file and it's not enabled with every php version.

Upload Fields

Hi,

I have 2 questions regarding to the upload field.

First Question.
When I upload let's say 20files. Is it possible to have like an orderby statement in the pageviewer to order by the filename?
Say first i Upload ZZZ file and the AAA file. But on my webpage I want it to show AAA before ZZZ.

Second Question:
Is it possible to like send an e-mail to certain people whenever I uploaded a file so I don't have to manually send mails everytime I upload a file.

Is it possible to upload SWF files in a wysiwyg field, because now it keeps saying you can only upload images in this. eventhough I've added the extention swf in the validation part.

Hi,

I've seen the new function save & copy in the section editors. But what i want to do is:

Let's assume i have a section news with NewsItem1, NewsItem2 and NewsItem3.
My site is in 3 languages. my newsitems contain a field content which is a wyiwyg field. Still following ?[:)]
In that wysiwyg field there are table's that contain my content positioned in a certain way. What I want to do is to be able to copy NewsItem with content and everything so my table is exact the same without having to put it in again and again.

Is this possible?

I knew the height could be set but it's more the width that's giving me troubles. I just hate horizontal scrollbars [tongue].
i wanted to limite the width if people work with tables in cms. But oh well. I have 2 other questions now [tongue] but will open seperate topics for them as they don't have anything to do width this or eachother.

wysiwyg limitations

Hi,

I have a question about the wysiwyg boxes. Is it possible to limite the width and height of the boxes.
An example: When people create a new news event in my cms it will be shown in a Frame. That frame has a width and a height. I want to limite people to those 2 so I don't get scrollbars in my frame. Is this possible?

For your other products you have demo area's. Are you planning to do this for cms builder as well? Or is there a way that makes it possible to make such a white label demo area myself? Because that seems an easy way to pursuade people for using content managing system.

hi,

I think i found a bug in your otherwise very good software [:)]. Whenever you have a number in the pageview php filename. For example department1Page.php it only shows that recordnumber and nothing else. I had a department1Page.php with several items in the listview. But it didn't matter wich one i clicked he always showed the first one in the list. When I changed it to departmentonePage.php the problem was solved. Maybe there's something in your code that thinks whenever he sees a number in the filename it's automaticly a recordnumber?

I installed CMS 1.10 on a domain but we've moved the domain and changed the dns servers and when I want to use cms it says it doesn't excist.

Hi,

I want to make a test page, where clients can test cms builder and see their changes live. That i've done, but I want to know if I can put a link inside CMS.

(like there is the view website link - but this can contain only 1 url if I'm right and that has to be the index for the whole cms)

So I want an other link inside cms to link to the specific demo page. Is this possible? That specific link should also only be seen when you access the demo section editor.

People have to decide in the section editor from 2 listboxes. They choose for which page they're adding an ad and what position [left or right"] (Is this a good method or do you know/suggest something else?)

it's about the div tags at the bottom where you see the 2pics. ["Starter" and the long one with the flowers on the right]

The meaning of all this is that people should be able to change the pic's without me having to change anything of code. Of course I'm setting restrictions for the width and height in my section editors [:)]

I have a section editor for my Ads. In every ad are both my banner and my content.

With a ListViewer I want to show my banners ($record['banner']) in different div tags.

so $record['banner'] contains in every ad a different pic. When i do ListView now he just show every banner of every ad. but I want to be able to filter out so i can show one specific banner in one specific div tag.

that's how it is made (see attachement).

But in every ad, the pic in banner is different.
there are 2 or more ads i want to show on my page's.

so, in every ad Bannerfield is different.
this is what i want in a div.

but when i use this he just shows every bannerfield in every div i put my code in. But I just want 1 bannerfield / div tag.

So i need some kind of recognition of which ad he has to show the bannerfield, I think.

but in every ad, banner is another pic. So now if I use my php code from de php generator

It would show my banners one by one underneath or next to each other, right?

But what I want is to position every banner in a div tag. Because I have 2 or more ads on a page.

To answer your questions. It are wysiwyg fields. And i have an seperate section where al my banners are.

i've put screenshots as attachment.

As you can see in my content.jpg attachment I just want to use 1 field for all my banners, but in every ad there's another pic.
Do you get what want? :). If not just keep asking the information you can use :).

Hi,

My page contains banners which I use to put ads in. What i want to do is to be able to put my banner pic in my page through CMS but I also need to be able to position them in different div tags on different pages. Because my ads will be different form page to page. Now i've done it with multiple fiels in my content. ex: AD1 :Banner1 (pic), Banner2(empty), Banner3(empty) ; AD2:
Banner1 (empty), Banner2(pic), Banner3(empty) ; ...

so my code could be

   
  
 (but for my first page I don't need banner 3, so a delete it in my code.)

And now I have to leave out the one's I don't need or don't put anything in them in my CSM but what i really want is to have only one

so i mean:

ad1: Banner
ad2: Banner
ad3: Banner

But all three bannerfields contain different pic's. So my PageViewer reads

i want to become that in my html i can do

...

but every Banner should contain another pic instead of showing the same one.
Do you know what i mean?

it's the 2 images on the bottom of the site. ('starter' and 'snel een nieuwe taal leren' translation 'quickly learn a new language'). They have to link to another page that opens like all the rest. menu on the left and the iFrame on the right. The ad should open in the iframe.

I have another 2 questions for you.

Number 1:
How do I link from within my frame to another page. for example I just want to link back to my homepage. If I do it the 'normal' way it will load my homepage into my frame. That's nog what i want. I want it to reload the entire page.

Numer 2:
On my pages I have buttons (images with urls). But do you know a way to recognize which image they click so i can now where the link should go.
I want to do this so people can change the images in the cms but i don't have to go into the html to adjust the link. Do you now what i mean?
