The way the re-writes currently work, yes. However we have several non-cmsbuilder php driven sites that use friendly urls with mod_rewrite (dropping the ?query string and using ONLY the alias).

I'm thinking something like:

RewriteEngine On
rewritecond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/page/(.*)
rewritecond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/images/(.*)
RewriteRule (.*)$ /page/page.php? id=$1

We have created a members only homeowners association website and need the ability to send plain text emails to all of the users within the cmsbuilder member list (Using the Membership module.)

For example: All the homeowners need to know the snow plows are running late and will be at the property by 1:00pm.

So we want to add the ability to enter a message hit send and all 160+ members (That have emails associated to their account) would receive the email.

PS
The admin user would be the only person able to send messages out.

We actually have it running a couple different ways.

1.) Just a basic method of having all the incidents within the CMS database so that the tech department could keep better records. (As apposed to just a bunch of emailed incident reports.)

2.) We assign a username and password based on the ticket, which has added comment fields and can be accessed via the clients website and is drawn from the CMS builder database. (This took a bit of programming.)

In the 2nd instance we have a script which pulls pulls formatted tab delimited data from the emails body text and places it into separated fields for further processing.

We use the "download mail" plug-in in conjunction with formatted incident forms on the website. Since the forms send an email using formmail on the same server, the emails never leave the server and are placed directly into the "Incedent" users pop account awaiting to be processed into CMS builder.

We then have a cron job run the "download mail" plug-in every 15 minutes and update the CMS builder database.

Works great for us.

Yeah, that is what we normally do. I was just hoping for a field integration solution so that we don't have to tell the users to click on link1 to enter your WYSIWYG content and click on link2 to enter your product listings.

We have it populating the first time through fine, but now we need to add update capabilities to the script so that the duplicate data is not added a second time.

Got it to work with the full path.

Changed:

../../lib/init.php

to

/home/www/jackson/cmsAdmin/cmsAdmin/lib/init.php

Running a cron job for DownloadMail Plugin

We are having trouble running a cron job for the DownloadMail Plugin.

The path is
/home/www/jackson/cmsAdmin/plugins/downloadMail/run.php

When the cron runs, we get the following error:

PHP Warning: require_once(../../lib/init.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/jackson/cmsAdmin/plugins/downloadMail/run.php on line 4
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '../../lib/init.php' (include_path='.:') in /home/www/jackson/cmsAdmin/plugins/downloadMail/run.php on line 4

From within the cmsAdmin the script runs fine...

Just before I received your post, I reverted back to an old "settings.dat.php" file and added the plugin manually. Now everything works.

Our Demo was working fine until we added the "Display Demo Notice" plugin.

Now we get quite a few Undefined index errors. (Even when we removed the plugin and reset the demo mode to "0", the errors still persist.)

We are using a search function that uses:

$search_type = $_GET['search_type'];

However, the page throws the error: Undefined index if no "search_type" is passed.

What would be the proper syntax to check if a variable is passed and if none is passed assign it one or suppress the error.

We needed to upload the schemas and change the 1st line of code to each page - require_once "/usr/home/OurNewWebsiteFolder/www/htdocs/cmsAdmin/lib/viewer_functions.php";
