In response to: https://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum-posts.php?postNum=2214836#post2214836

In response to that post - I cannot seem to wrap my head around getting this to work in my case.

I want to be able to grab a count of the number of records that are assigned values.

For instance, my table is: project_management (that's the top level cms section).

Inside that - I have a field of "current_owner".

There's a list of possible selections a person can assign a project to - names of my team.

I just wanted to drop some numbers so, at a glance, I can see how many projects are in each person's cue.

(echo number of records where "jeff" is the value in field "current_owner" for instance.)

And then I can pull for each team member after that.

I can't seem to wrap my head around this solution.

Thanks, in advance, for any help!

The tables all had different names, except the users, which wasn't a big deal. I just left that table out.

Hi there -

I first did some searching to find a solution, but so far, nothing seems to work/apply.

http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum-posts.php?postNum=2218781

Discusses something similar. I'm using a calendar type display, along with a text display version as well.

I only want that text version to display events that are in the future. Sort of make it a little more self-managing so we don't have old stuff on there every day, and can edit as we have time.

This is my code:

// load viewer library
$libraryPath = 'cmsAdmin/lib/viewer_functions.php';
$dirsToCheck = array('/home/warsaw/public_html/','','../','../../','../../../');
foreach ($dirsToCheck as $dir) { if (@include_once("$dir$libraryPath")) { break; }}
if (!function_exists('getRecords')) { die("Couldn't load viewer library, check filepath in sourcecode."); }

//Get the current date in SQL date format
$date = date('Y-m-d 00-00-00');

// load records from 'events'
list($eventsRecords, $eventsMetaData) = getRecords(array(
'tableName'   => 'events',
'perPage'     => '10',
'loadUploads' => true,
'allowSearch' => false,
'orderBy'     => 'start_date ASC',
//  'where'       => "date >= '$date'",
));

That where clause is commented out because it's throwing an error.

If anyone has ideas, please let me know!

Thanks much!

With the latest version of CMSB, the WYSIWYG editor: We do a lot of text editing where we copy a link from the page and move them around, re-order things, and then save. It happens a LOT. So, with the latest update, I can no longer copy a linked sentence, word, phrase and then past it without losing the link completely. Meaning I have to go back and manually re-link... Doesn't sound like a lot, but when you do a few dozen per day, it adds up. What can be done to do this?

I simply want to copy an already linked line of text in the editor, and paste it in the same window, just put it someplace else (change the order).

Am I missing something simple here...? I'm actually getting a message when I try to left/right click (windoze) that my browser is not supported - BUT - I've tried on two flavors of Mac browser and at least two on windows - notta...

Thanks much for any help - this one is driving me nuts!

PERFECT!  Thanks!

If I want to show the resulting image (the big view - not thumb) in the site framework, how would I set that page up?
The result from clicking an image on this page (shows bigger one).

Thanks!

--Jeff

Hi Jason-

I got the first part to work. I'd rather not throw my live site links in here until it actually works.

=^)

I have step one done. And have done this many times for items that have just one image.
It's the extra step of showing them in the table for galleries that have multiple images that is throwing the curve ball for me.

So, really - it's pulling the multiple images out and displaying in a table like the second step in my example pdf - then click through to the bigger image.

Hope that helps... Thanks for offering to help me out!

--Jeff
