1. You can change the date picker months to spanish by changing the "Program Language" under Admin -> General Settings.

2. By default, you can't have a date field where you only select a year without filling out the day and month fields. A way to get around this would be to create a "Year" list field where you put in the different year options you want people to be able to select.

Hi Djulia,

Okay, I see. There aren't a lot of simple options. One approach would be to have an admin drop down field that only showed authorized users using an advanced MySQL query. This field could be set by a custom plugin when a new record is selected. This field could now be used in the advanced search. Outside of that, you would need to actually customize the core CMSB code in order to make a special case for this search field.

Hope this helps

Hi Paul,

1000 records in a list field is a maximum that is set in the CMS code. It is possible to customize the code to remove this restraint, but it is definitely not recommended. The best solution would be to look for ways to minimize the number of records that would need to appear in the list, as a list of 1000 or more is difficult to use or manage.

There are a few ways to minimize this list depending on the type of list you are using. For example, say you have a list of 1500 products that you want in a list and each product has a category. You can create a category list field first. Selecting a category from that list can trigger an update in the product list to only show products of the selected category.

Does it sound like something like this would work for you?

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

You can check to see if there is a url entered before outputting a link like this:

<?php if ($record['ses_url']): ?>
<a href="<?php echo htmlencode($record['ses_url']) ?>" class="captions">Info
<?php endif ?>

For logins, are you using the website membership plugin? If so, you can use a similar method to the above to check to see if a person is logged in. We do this by checking for the $CURRENT_USER variable like this:

<?php if ($CURRENT_USER): ?>
<a href="cdb-stallion-reports.php?title=<?php echo $record['title']; ?>" > <?php echo $reportCount;?> Reports
<?php endif ?>

In addition to this, you should put code on your cdb-stallion-reports.php page that will redirect a user back to a login page if they are not currently logged in. You can do this like this:

if (!$CURRENT_USER) { websiteLogin_redirectToLogin(); }

With the website membership plugin, there is a code generator that will help you to create signup, login, profile, and forgot password pages.

As mentioned previously, the costs involved aren't for the plugin, but for the integration, and this can vary widely depending on exactly what you are looking for. For a basic implementation, you can be looking at between $600 - $1000. However, this is a very rough range. The only way to get an accurate figure would be to go over the exact details of your particular project. If you have further questions regarding this, please email consulting@interactivetools.com

www.example.com/cmsAdmin/admin.php?menu=_cron_log

Hi,

In getRecords(), if you set more the 'where' option more than once, only the second value will be used (as it overwrites the first one in the array). So, if you need to filter your record list by more than 1 field, you need to combine your statements into a single where clause. So, for example, if you want to only return records where the visible checkbox is checked, and the category is news, you can set your where clause like this:

'where'  =>  "visible = 1 AND category = 'news'",

In this example, both need to be true in order to return a record.

Yes, searchMultipleTables() uses the php strip_tags() function to remove all HTML tags from the _summary field that is returned.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Image Upload - Exact Dimensions

Hi,

Thanks for posting. Currently, there isn't a built in way to require images to have exact dimensions. The easiest work around and this point, would be to set the resizes to be what you want the exact image size to be, then hard code those values into the image tag output. This should help to limit image skewing to a minimum. However, if they upload an image smaller than those values, or something that is far from what you were expecting (800 x 100 for example), this probably won't give the results you're looking for.

The best option for requiring certain dimensions would be to create a custom plugin that would look at the image before saving the upload. There would be a few options for what we could require, such as:

Exact dimensions (ie, 800 x 600) - this would be the most restrictive

Minimum dimensions (ie, at least 800 wide and at least 600 tall)

Exact Ratio - for example, the width to height ratio must be 2:1. In this example an image that was 200 x 100 would be okay, but an image that was 600 x 200 would be rejected.

We could also do a combination of these requirements. For your case, a combination of options 2 and 3 may give the best results will not being too restrictive.

If you are interested in this, please send in an email to consulting@interactivetools.com and we can go over some options.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I think a google login plugin would have a lot of potential. That being said, we don't have immediate plans to have this developed. Many of our plugins arise out of the needs of individual projects. If this is something you require for a given project(s), please send an email to consulting@interactivetools.com and we can go over some options.

Thanks,

Hi Hannah,

This code can be embedded in your HTML where you want the show records to be displayed. Each iteration of the loop should output the HTML for a single one of your show "boxes". If you would like us to step in and implement this for you, we can certainly do that. If you could please email consulting@interactivetools.com we can go over some options. As this looks like a pretty simple integration, I would expect the cost to be quite low.

Hope this helps

It looks like we are missing a closing div tag inside the foreach loop. Try this:

<?php
$eventsPerSlide = 2;
$eventCount     = 0;
?>

<?php foreach ($eventsRecords as $record): ?>

<?php echo $record['month'] ?>

<?php echo $record['day'] ?>

<a href="<?php echo $record['_link'] ?>"><?php echo htmlencode($record['title']) ?> Event Time: <?php echo htmlencode($record['event_time']) ?> / Event Location: <?php echo htmlencode($record['event_location']) ?>

<?php echo htmlencode($record['brief_event_summary']) ?>

<?php if (++$eventCount % $eventsPerSlide == 0): ?>

<?php endif ?>

<?php endforeach ?>

Hi,

There shouldn't be any issue with having a different table prefix. Is this a new install, or something that has just started happening? Have there been any recent changes to this installation? If you look in the data/schema folder, is there a "_cron_log.ini.php" file?

Let me know and we can look into this further.

Thanks
