Work opportunity - Australia

Hi All
I am looking for someone who is interested in providing QUALITY, RELIABLE and PROFESSIONAL services to my clients who are on various versions of CMSB's as I am having a career change and closing my business. The work is periodic and somewhat seasonal (some clients have events and use the websites to promote the events). The ideal situation would be someone in Australia so my clients are roughly on the same time zone and can chat about their needs, and are also able to contact the hosting company if issues arise. The sites run well, so the changes might just be small, but who knows with clients. :)! The ideal person would be totally familiar with CMSB, content style sheets (CSS), and be able to navigate HTML comfortably. Clients expect to be invoiced, and over the years, payment has always been prompt. Credit Card payments will NOT work. Also, there are no set monthly fees (billable income), as it's more sporadic. Majority of clients are not-for-profit, and some are commercial. They've been wonderful clients for years and I'd really like to hand it over to someone who values professionalism and prompt, quality work... with a smile. You can check out the style of work at visuallogic.com.au Please, genuine enquiries only.

Help please…

I have 2 sections

Products – which lists all of the products – called products.php ($productsRecord)

Categories – basically, some brief intro to each category, and a series of generic header images for each category.

Within products, each product is assigned to a category (a drop down from a list linked to the categories), and a respective category image is assigned as the header (limit 1, random shuffle)

Where I am stuck is assigning the category “on the fly” rather than having to create a different product page for each category. I am currently using this:

  // load record from 'categories'
  list($categoriesRecords, $categoriesMetaData) = getRecords(array(
    'tableName'   => 'categories',
    'where' => ' title="Janitorial" ',
    'orderBy'     => 'RAND()',
    'loadUploads' => true,
    'allowSearch' => false,
    'limit'       => '1',
  ));
  $categoriesRecord = @$categoriesRecords[0]; // get first record
  if (!$categoriesRecord) { dieWith404("Record not found!"); } // show error message if no record found

But is there a way to generate this dynamically?

Where I am trying to insert this is somewhere in the below section if possible, rather than having to rely on ' 'where' => ' title="Janitorial" ', - is this possible?

                  <!--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- BOOTSTRAP CAROUSEL *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-->

                     data-anchor-target="#bg-img h1">
                     <h1 class="text-uppercase txt-dark"><?php echo htmlencode($productsRecord['title']) ?></h1>
                     <p class="txt-dark"><?php echo htmlencode($productsRecord['subhead']) ?> |  <?php echo $productsRecord['category'] ?></p>
                  </div>

PHP v 7 - requires MySQL

Hi Interactive Tools

I am getting the same error in upgrading from PHP 5.6 to PHP v7.0.

This program requires the PHP 'mysql' extension.
Please ask your hosting provider (or server administrator) to install missing PHP extension(s).

I am trying to upgrade to PHP 7 as that's the highest the host has, and have uploaded cmsbuilder_3_50_build2215_release (I've installed it's twice in case there was an upload error). The host has indicated that "PHP-7.0 support MYSQLi extension only and that I need to do coding changes from MYSQL to MYSQLi."

Can you please provide any guidance.

Thanks

Hi

Is there a way to only display upload images by the info1 field? And them limit the it to only 8 images randomly?

I have created a single record, uploaded the images, and for the info1 field (ie, title), they can be either be called "winter" or "summer". On some pages, I only want to display the summer photos, and on other pages the winter photos. Is there a way to sort using just this field?

BTW, I didn't use a multi record as on most of the pages, I want to display ALL of the images in random order, and it's faster to upload images in a single record.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you... I've done that, but can't work out how to get, for example, price record 2 on promotional page 1 or price record 5 on promotional page 4.I'm sure it's a "where = etc", but I can't work out the code snippet.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Unfortunately, a membership plugin won't work, as the visitors haven't regisered when they see a specific promotional page. It's the promotional page which is what will hopefully get them to register.

I was looking for something which would work like:

1) there is a multi record section with prices. One for default, one for Club discounts, one for x, one for y, one for z (etc). The client can create these records as they require them.

2) there is a multi record section with promotional pages. The client can create these records as required.

3) On a specific promotional page (the default is the normal register page with normal prices). The client can select which pricing table they want to use. It could be the default pricing, or it could be Club discounts, or it could be Prices X or Prices Y. I'd like the client to be able to select which pricing table, as they don't have access to the backend/FTP, ie, it needs to be automated.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Hi

How would I add code to the page to SELECT a specific record number based on client requirements. There are multiple list record pages, one for default, one for club discount prices, one for earlybirds. I need to insert a specific pricing record in an area depending on the promotional page. For example, on the club promotion page, it needs to show the club discount prices. On the normal pages, it needs to display the default prices. My client may also add more pricing list pages, so it needs to be flexible. I am going around in circles trying to work out how to do this, but ?? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Damon

One of my client's has this issue as well. They can't login as the login details are rejected. They are on Windows 10.

They have repeatedly tried (and are confident users of PCs) and indicated

"If you then try the same logon again, it is rejected. However if you open a new tab, and go back to CMS logon your credentials are accepted again. However on selecting menu it goes back to logon. This suggests that something in the Windows 10 security doesn’t like the CMS menu page and blocks access. However if you create a new tab, it forgets the problem until you access the menu again."

I have reinstated their login details, cancelled it and given them a new one, etc. I am even given them my login (which I know works), and it's the same issue. Did you resolve this for the other person, or could you shed some light as what they need to do.

Thanks
