Missing PHP 'mysql' extension

I recently received this error message on my site running CMS Builder.

Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; Field has a deprecated constructor in /services/webpages/m/c/XXXX/public/cmsAdmin/lib/field_class.php on line 11 This program requires the PHP 'mysql' extension.
Please ask your hosting provider (or server administrator) to install missing PHP extension(s).

I am guessing that the web host upgraded the version of PHP that the server is running. If I am unable to go back to the previous version, or unable to get the web host to install the PHP mysql extension, is there a workaround to get the CMS working again?

Thank you.

I am having an issue with the HTML tags displaying live on the web site for articles.

I am not putting the tags in the WYSIWYG editor and have confirmed that the tags are correct in the HTML editor window (screenshot attached).

When I preview the page within the Admin panel it displays fine without the tags, but when I save and publish to my site the tags display on the live site.

I just upgraded to the current version to see if that was the issue, but I am experiencing the same problem.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Thanks.

I am a new user and encountering the following error on installation:

This program requires the PHP 'mbstring' extension.
Please ask your hosting provider (or server administrator) to install missing PHP extension(s).

I am hosting with a GoDaddy Shared Linux Deluxe Account. I have PHP 4.x activated.

If I change the PHP Version to 5.x, I do not receive the error message and can continue the installation. The problem is I have other applications already running that only will run on PHP 4 and these applications stop working when I switch to PHP 5.

Is there a way to activate the mbstring extension on PHP 4 in GoDaddy without having to change to PHP verion 5?

Thank you for any assistance.
