I just upgraded a system to 3.57 (I know, I'm a little late to the party). After doing so, I went to upload a logo for them that was in GIF format. After selecting the file and clicking on Upload, I received the following error:

imagecolorsforindex(): Argument #2 ($color) is out of range in /home/folder/public_html/cmsAdmin/lib/image_functions.php on line 152.

Rather than trying to diagose the issue, I simply saved it as a JPG and the upload was fine. I have to say, we have not had a gif in years, so I'm not sure if it just started happening or not. It could be mere coincidence.

I just wanted to report it in case there was something anyone know about it.

We are using PHP 8.1 on this site.

I just wanted to follow-up. I figured out the issue - I had zlib compression turned on. zlib compression gets in the way, according to TinyMCE's website, in the gzip working as expected. I turned that off and it worked OK.

I'm not thrilled about having to turn this off as this is used to compress the website when being sent to browsers, so I'm going to need to move this into the CMS area only, but I wanted to pass along what I found out in the meantime.

Hi - I'm having a very strange issue. As far as I know, this just started and it only seems to effect this one site. This happens to be an older site on 2.60 of CMSB.

When I try to go into any editor section that has a Wysiwyg field, I get the following errors:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token - this is occurring in tiny_mce_gzip.php

Uncaught ReferenceError: tinyMCE is not defined - this is happening in the admin.php (as expected because of the first error)

What I have tried so far...

I've removed all tiny_mce cache files I could find

I have tried to re-upload the correct version of tiny_mce_gzip.php

I have placed an even older version of tiny_mce_gzip.php on the site

I have placed an even newer, but still part of the 2.6* version on the site

I am a little bit out of ideas at this point as to what it could be. Has anyone else run into this?

Thanks,

Gary.

I sincerely apologize if this has been asked/answered already...

I have two fields - the first field I would like to pick a table to use, the second field would be an entry in that table.

For the first table, I have the following list code in my field definition:

SELECT REPLACE(TABLE_NAME, '<?php echo $TABLE_PREFIX;?>', '') FROM information_schema.`TABLES` where TABLE_SCHEMA = '<?php echo $GLOBALS['SETTINGS']['mysql']['database'];?>' AND TABLE_NAME like '<?php echo $TABLE_PREFIX;?>_%' ORDER BY TABLE_NAME

For my second field, I would like to show the title field from table and capture the "num" field. For example, I have the following so far:

SELECT num, title
FROM `<?php echo $TABLE_PREFIX ?>tableName`

What I'm not sure how to do is to replace the value "tableName" with the value of the previous field. Ultimately, I want this to be:

SELECT num, title FROM <table selected in the previous field>

Is that possible?

Thank you in advance.

Hi - the new-ish feature to check if a record is dirty always comes back dirty for us for some reason. If we select a page to edit and immediately hit cancel, we are prompted with the "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved" dialog. Because of this, it is more of an irritant than accidentally leaving the page.

Do we know how "dirty" is calculated and why a page would think it's dirty when nothing has changed on it?

I do quiet a few drop-down fields where the value is retrieved from the database, but again, I am not changing anything on the page.

Can we either determine why it thinks it's dirty when it's not or if there is a way to disable it?

Hi Jeff,

I tried the system field - the problem is there is no easy way to get it back into a regular field if you need to. This causes some issues if, say, a user does purchase something or need something they didn't need before. The only way I have found to deal with this is to go back to the schema file.

I'll have to investigate the show/hide add-on again. It's been a while since I looked at it, but for some reason opted not to use it at that time. I just don't recall why.

Thank you for the input.

This may seem counter-intuitive, but please let me explain...

We have a rather complex set of fields in our "Main Navigation" or "Main Pages" section of our sites. Not all of our users need or have paid for all the fields. However, my code base assumes some of the fields exist - for the most part, I do check with if (!empty($field)) before doing anything with it, but in some of our code, I'm sure I don't.

It would be incredibly wonderful, rather than removing fields from the editor, to simply be able to hide them so that users can't see them. In the section editor, you'd obviously be able to see all of the fields so you can unhide them if necessary, but while editing rows in that particular section, only the fields that were not hidden would show.

We have a set of about 60 different tables we install on every site. In the account setup, we give the users access to the tables they need (or have paid for). It would be great to also be able to hide fields that a user either doesn't need to see (less confusion) or if they are related to functionality for which the user has not paid (reduces the explanation related to "what does this field mean").

It took a while, but I finally figured out how to enable flash in Chrome - sadly you have to do this on a site-by-site basis, but it does work at least.

Hi,

Just starting today, we are having problems with the flash multi-file uploader in Firefox. When we try to upload a file, it gets to 100% and then hangs there. This just started happening for us on two different computers today. As close ago as yesterday we did not experience this problem.

If you click on save at this point, it will save the one picture, but it never goes onto a second, third, etc. picture to upload, effectively forcing one at a time.

This is happening on both a new version of CMS (3.12) and an older version of CMS (2.65)

Any ideas why this might be happening or what we can check? It seems so odd that it would be happening to multiple computers, so I believe we can rule out a client issue, so there must be something at the server level.

Thanks in advance.

Dragging a category menu item past a large category

That's more or less what I did, just wanted to bring it up that if you have to drag past the top of the screen, it doesn't work. I have the same issue in the section editors. It can be a real pain to have to add a few tables and then move them up about 50 or so tables in the section editor. I was wondering if there was a bug or that's just the way it is.

Thanks for the reply.

Not seeing your data, it's a bit hard to say. The first thing, I would not check for tab on both sides...just check on one side or the other. If I recall, the data is stored as value1\tvalue2\tvalue3\t, so checking at the end only will be safer.

Can you share one of your day_of_event fields with multiple selections and one with only a single selection so we can see how it's actually setup? You should be able to get this from phpMyAdmin or the Developer Console.

Also, you are going to be using every record in the table at some point, so you might want to avoid going back to the database over and over. Just get all the records and then do your foreach 7 different times selecting the records that match. Something like this:

 list($event_schedule2Records, $event_schedule2MetaData) = getRecords(array(
'tableName' => 'event_schedule2',
'loadUploads' => true,
'allowSearch' => false,
'debugSql' => true,
));

for ($i=0; $i<7; $i++) {
<get day of week from date function>
<display the day of week and any other data you wish to display >
foreach ($event_schedule2Records as $record) {
if (strpos($record['day_of_event'],"<day>\t") !== false) {
<do for this record on this day>
}
}
}

Obviously, replace <day> with "mon" or "tue" or whatever.

Keep in mind, I tend to use the braces rather than the : and endforeach or : and endif notation. Do whichever you are more comfortable with.
