Hi All,

Sorry to bother you all, but I can't seem to clear the developer log on one of my sites. GreenwichVillageFolkFestival.org (942 entries) and I'm out of ideas.

I thought that it might be related to the corruption of one of the files in my installation, so I tried both refreshing the files and then upgrading to CMSB 3.60 and PHP 8.2 but that didn't help.

I keep getting the MySQL Error: MySQL server has gone away in /home3/greenxm0/public_html/gvff/cmsAdmin/admin.php (line 46)

Any Thoughts?

Thanks,

You can always resize the photos after upload by choosing the Maximum upload size: as unlimited and then checking the Resize images larger than: and setting that for your optimum size.

I haven't had any issues with that, however, it sounds like you're still saying that you want a lower file size uploaded from the phone.

That would suggest a phone setting or 3rd party app for the phone.

Hi Dave,

That's Great News!

I have no idea what's possible, but I was thinking of an 'auto save' checkbox on the record that's being worked on that a non admin user could check, If possible, the 'auto save' check box could be a special field that could optionally be added to the section by the admin during design.

And an option in the admin to set the auto save repitition rate (every 5 min, every 10 min, etc.) and possibly an 'always autosave' option for admins.

It would be nice if the auto save didn't bring the user back to the record list each

It might be helpful if you asked the forum community for their input as well.

Best,

Hi all,

I’ve come up with a weird issue.

Lately, when I copy any php code snippets from my CMSB Cookbook recipe detail page (that is displayed in the latest version of Firefox with standard security settings and no plugins), and try to paste it into a blank php page, I get a multitude of errors (I’m seeing them in Dreamweaver, image attached) and the errors also keep the page from displaying in a browser. A copy of a page with malformed code is also attached.

I can, however, generate clean detail viewer code for the detail page and any code copied from that page viewed in Firefox throws no errors and works correctly.

I can also view the recipe detail page in either Chrome or Edge, and any copied code snippet show no errors.

I'm running CMSB Version 3.57 (discovered the issue in 3.55 before I updated today) and PHP 7.4 (Bluehost hasn't updated my server to PHP8+ yet)

I’m pretty sure that it has something to do with the code on the detail page (attached) that is generating some non printable characters that mess with Firefox, but I’m pretty much at the limit of my expertise here.

The original code was created in December 2018 with much help from Daniel Louwe.

The original forum thread was: https://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum-posts.php?81509
And the CMSB Cookbook recipe is at: http://www.thecmsbcookbook.com/recipedetail.php?324

Thanks,

Hi All,

I first approached this topic back in 2020 but it seems to have fallen through the cracks.

I know it’s good practice to automatically expire login sessions after 30 minutes or so, and it’s also a good practice to save changes often.

But a number of times my clients (and I) have written text directly into a text box, or made other changes to a section, and have been so caught up in the moment, or distracted before saving our work, that our sessions have timed out, or we’re told that a "Security Error: No _CSRFToken exists in session. Try reloading or going back to previous page". After an attempt to comply, the information is lost forever and we have to go back to square 1.

So, my question is:

Is optional autosave for the current open page a possibility?

Any other thoughts are welcome.

Thanks and stay safe,

Hi,

Probably too simple to be the case, but clearing their cache sometimes does wonders in solving issues.

Give it a try,

There's also a recipe in my CMSB Cookbook that helped with a login loop using the Website Membership plugin

Good luck
