hi, I installed the upgraded version of CMS. For some reason, "logout" link in the editor doesn't work. When I click on the link, instead of logout screen it pulls up an error page displaying "The page cannot be displayed. To attempt fixing network connectivity problems, click Tools, and then click "Diagnose Connection Problems..." "
Please let me know how I can fix this probem. Thanks again for all your help.

I downloaded the newer version. We've already put in all the data on our site and would like avoid having to install the entire cms again. It it possible to upgrade just the WYSIWYG part?

Also, in WYSIWYG, when pasting in text using "Paste as Pain text" option, system doesn't take in the line breaks from the source. Is this a bug too or just how it's suppose to work?

thanks Damon, I added the CSS and that fixed the problem. As for the firefox issue, I was pasting html text from website. I have firefox 3.0 and CMS version 1.28.

I went ahead and inserted text with “Keep line breaks” option checked. After text loads into the WYSYWYG editor field, I tried to delete some part of the text, but it wouldn’t let me delete the text without saving the record first. Is there a way to get around this?

I have another question regarding flash. I have flash swf loading in all my pages. When I view the site in newer browsers such as IE8, Chrome, Opera, page flickers to white then displays the page. Flickering goes away when I take the flash out from the page. I'm using swfobject.js to embed the flash. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Where it says "dummy text" is where the data is suppose to load.

Ross, I'm having difficulty in getting the xml file to work with CMS. I took the working XML file and converted to .PHP file and it doesn't load the data. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong and would appreciate your help on this. Here is what I have:

Thanks Guys for your help. I got the WYSIWYG field working. [font "Verdana"]I have one more question. [font "Verdana"]
[font "Verdana"]Reason I'm using the WYSIWYG editor field is because I want the ability to style the text. Most importantly, I want to be able to link certain words and have the link appear underlined.
When I view the page, it displays the content but doesn't display the styles applied throught the WYSIWYG field. Am I doing something wrong or does the style function not work for flash content?

I have a flash element setup with xml. I noticed that XML stops working when I have the field setup in CMS Builder as a WYSIWYG editor. It displays "undefined". Does it only work with text field?

List Filtering Question

hi, I have news list page that is sorted by date. Here is link to the mockup page: http://gjdemo.com/irving/news.htm
I want to display the years from the date field as links and filter the page by year when the link is clicked.(Ex: View All, 2009, 2008, 2007 and so on).
I was wondering if there is a way to achieve this without having to create different viewpages for each year? Thanks!

Hi Ross.

I got the detail pages working with the right content and submenus. One question about the URL display. I[/url] guess this happens because I hard coded the details page links. Just wondering if there is a better way to display the URLs?
Now I just need to figure out how to get the selected item underlined. Thanks again for all your help!

Ross, Thanks for getting back to me,

I created the list as you instructed and got as far as creating two list viewer pages for each section.

There are couple of things I need help with:

How do link them to different detail pages? If you recall from our conversation earlier, each viewer page needs to go to different detail page because of the navigation flipping.
On detail pages, how do I get all the sub menus in that section to appear? (right now only selected one shows up).
How do I make the selected submenu highlighted in the detail page? (my intention is to make them underlined.)

I've also attached the php files in case you need to look at them.

Hi, I have a section with two top level menu. Each top level menu will link to a multi page showing titles of all sub pages with links to detail pages. I also need sub page titles in that section to appear as submenu like below structure:

Current Investment
- current 1
- current 2
- current 3 (about 20 items)

Prior Investment
- prior 1
- prior 2
- prior 3 (about 20 items)

Here is my problem:
At some point the status of an item will be changed from “current investment” to “prior investment”. When this happens, changes should be reflected on both the menu and the list/detail pages. Here are links to mockups:

I have one more question. In the editor section (for multi page list), is there a way to turn off the feature that allows user to delete multiple items at once? I want to give my client access to add/delete items, but don't want them to accidently delete all items at once. Also, is there a way to hide the "Advanced Commands" pulldown from showing on sublevel account?

We can provide you with working flash and xml. We just need you to configure CMS to edit the xml. We want to be able to add/edit/delete XML records. Each record is only two fields. Two questions:

1) Roughly how long will this take(billable hours)?
2) How much lead time will you guys need?
