I'd love the answer as well as I am looking for a CMS for all our network sites and we already have a number of licenses for products from here and so are interested in more.

We're specifically looking for a CMS that will handle our membership accounts - which all come with their own blogs, forums, galleries, shoutbox, chat, ims, groups, galleries and email lists.. all which are served by a free cms that we like, but again, we are in the upgrade process and this is very timely.

My specific questions are:

Memberships? is there availability for membership management?

SPAM - the main issue we have on all the sites is UNRELENTING bot spam - signup attempts, attempts to access the contact features etc.. are there safeguards in place?

Blogs - multiple blogs for anyone or just one?

Community features - are there any or is this more geared toward individual users?

Hi Donna - I see where I was heading in the wrong direction. I like AM2 but it is a bit of a learning curve.. (for me anyway [blush])

I'm trying to bring summaries (with photos in some instances) of articles to a non article manager page.

the headline, photo and summaries come from already entered articles - but all from different categories so they show completely different things (obviously)

What I want to be able to do is take the latest two offers and display the headline and the summary details of the latest two offers on my front page (non article manager)

In addition, I want to show my featured program/charity/event with the title, photo and summary - from an already published article in the system) and bring that to the front non article manager page

And then finally, I want to bring my featured corporate participant also to the front page with the title, summary photo and summary from their permanent article.

fun huh? thanks for all your help :)

My index page is outside article manager.

I'm not sure which way to proceed.

The information is all in the summary of every article - but I don't know how to call it to a non- article manager page.

If I call via ssi - the whole page will come in since it's already templated and I don't know how to separate the summary from the article itself to bring it to a non article manager page.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

thanks a lot.

Hi guys.. time for some more fun with Article Manager 2 :)

We're using Article Manager as our Program Participant display catalogue - so EVERY article will follow the same outline with certain identifying info in the summary for quick viewing, then of course, more in the article area for merchant promotion.

I used the summaryImage instructions from the other posts to get the image to display and to rearrange the summaries, I've updated the templates and republished everything - but am having no joy at all.

http://www.blastmt.com/program/publish/index.shtml the two listings there should be displaying the summaryImage but they are not.

The image summary field displays in the admin as does the externalLink box.

We're using the Author field as the Vendor field and are planning to use the tutorial to link those together for Vendors who have more than one product in the Program.

SUMMARY IMAGE = linked to the article page
TITLE = also LINKED to the article page
change AUTHOR field to VENDOR = Searchable by Name (LINKED to a listing of VENDORS=authors)
URL = LINKED to the URL of the VENDOR
CITY = SEARCHABLE for local program participants and walk ins

can you tell me how to integrate that into article manager 2? Im a little lost since all my knowledge is based on article manager 1

specifically we need the actual code to integrate into the templates as follows:

SUMMARY IMAGE

TITLE
VENDOR(author)
URL
CITY

Regular Price

regularPrice FIELD OUTPUT

BLAST Price

blastPrice FIELD OUTPUT

SUMMARY FIELD CONTENT

thanks for any help in advance
