Helping moving CMSB site to new host...

Hello CSMB team!

A client has been notified that the company they were hosting with is shutting down at the end of the month. They need to move the site to a new host. I know I dont have the know-how to slide everything over so it is seamless. Is this something you guys can help with once we have the new host setup and everything? Paid of course!

Hey guys!

Do you guys do custom work from the ground up? I have a friend who is a good designer but it looking to have someone code and integrate his designs into a good CMS and I thought of you guys immediately. So would you quote from PSD to HTML to CMS Builder?

OOPS! One little hiccup. Anything that required and image uploader is still broken in the CMS. It seems it is still looking for the image upload path using the old path and not the new updated one. Easily fixable? Did this even make sense? :)

Could I make a Client Proof Area with CMSB?

I have a vehicle wrap client who wants to upload PDF/JPG proofs to a page, send their customers a link who can then view that proof and either approve it or not approve and offer feedback. How could this be done CMSB if it could be done at all?

So the steps would be:

1. My client logs into CMSB and somehow sets up a new page for a new proof.

2. The assets and any text is uploaded / typed in

3. A specific page is generated with info and an approve button which would send an email or a not approve button with a field for feedback

I am pretty sure I am looking at a custom job here but I thought since they have and are familiar with CMSB I would check in. I may hit Ross up to see if there is some custom work they can do as well.

What sort of details? It is a cookie cutter brochure website where all pages are based of the same template. Just spilling in different content on each page. Not sure what other details you need.

Hey guys!

I have a site I am working on where EVERY page (only 25 or so) are based off of the exact same template. Before I go and make 25 pages and link them up etc. Is there anyway to tell CMSB to use this template and just spill in the content from the different section editors?

If so, how would I handle the coding the navigation?

Hey everyone...

I have a client site (http://www.thewrapsource.com) that needs testimonials added to pages in their Gallery section. Now Ross from IT did a knock-out job at setting up the Gallery section of the CMS. He has it so the client can upload images and tell it what sections to show up on. I need to do the same thing but with testimonials.

I was going to have Ross do another CMS module for me but the money in the budget dried up so I have to try this on my own.

What is the best way for me to go about setting up a text entry area where I can then tell the text to only go on certain pages? They only want testimonials for people who have had Car Vehicle Wraps under "Cars" and so on...

UPDATE:

We have working in Firefox and Safari (Mac & PC) but not IE. I am trying to see version number of IE it is not working on (edit v 7 and 8). Keep in mind when i say not working I mean the Google AdWords generated link not the site itself.

That almost got me there... Every image now as a link even if I didn't specify a link.

It makes sense why it is doing that. I am basically telling it to to wrap everything with an ahref tag. How do I tell it to ignore that if there is no link?

Adding links to image uploads

Hey guys -

I have an image uploader set up and I want my client to be able to link those uploaded images to pages. How do I enter a link and have it attach itself to that image?

I did some searches and I think it has to do with the custom fields. If I have them enter a URL into a custom field [info1] how do i tell that to be the link for that image?

hey guys... This is from an SEO guy that a client is working with. I am not educated in Google Adwords / Analytics so hopefully what he sent me you can help with.

I've never seen this before but for some reason the CMS is crashing when Google appends the tracking tags to the URL for AdWords. Basically the page works fine but no content appears. For example...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I recently had IT do a bit of custom programming for CMSB for me. It was just a bit over my head and I wanted to get it done right. I sent in a quote request email and had an email and a phone call from Ross at IT within a biz day. Once I got him everything that was needed he TORE through my project and had it done so quickly and 100% perfect.
