I didn't know where the best place to post was so here you go... My suggestion would be to keep it really simple so it's easy to use from user and admin perspective. Plus there is no point trying to compete with the big boys.

Also, make sure it's seo friendly.

This guy, http://www.seo-board.com, who seems to be a one man band, seemed to have the right idea but I wouldn't use his software due to lack of support.

Hi, This doesn't quite relate to the above problem but it is a url issue. On this basic blog site http://www.parabenfree.co/ the home page is a standard list page which links to detail pages but the url's seem to be having some extra character being added to them. For example the post that is currently at the top should link to a page with a url of http://www.parabenfree.co/blog.php?Today-is-my-daughters-4th-Birthday-22 but for some reason the url is http://www.parabenfree.co/blog.php?Today-is-my-daughters-4th-Birthday-22#.UsshCPRdX00. IE it has #.UsshCPRdX00 on the end. Why is this and how do I stop it?

I don't want people to be linking to the wrong url of "liking" the wrong url on facebook.

I'm having a problem linking list pages to details pages in certain sections. I'll explain by example:

Here is a list page
http://www.brittonbrothers.com/weddings/services.php

It links fine to this example detail page (first one in list)
http://www.brittonbrothers.com/weddings/service-details.php?Wedding-Photography-Packages-2

It links fine because the viewer URLs are set correctly to:

List page: /weddings/services.php
and
Detail page: /weddings/service-details.php

However, I want to use the content from this section in another part of the web site whichis in a different directory. I want this list page:
http://www.brittonbrothers.com/ibiza/services.php to link to a detail page in the same /ibiza directory but at present it links to the /weddings directory.

Is there a way to do this?

the css option would not work. the point is that EXACT control of the thumbnail is required so it needs to be cropped manually by my client and then to link to the large image

hi, i'm using lightbox on this page to show popup images http://1048904331.n114413.test.prositehosting.co.uk/portfolio-detail.php?Flys-1

the functionality works fine however my customer wants to be able to control the cropping of the thumbmail images as they are different ratios and don't align correctly on the first. he wants the popup images to be the actaul ratios though. this means that the cmsb re-size option won't work.

is there anyway to have two sets of image uploads, one for the thumnails and one for the pop-ups? the system would need to know that image 1 thumb linked to big image 1 etc?

My customer is having problems with the WYSIWYG editor too. It works fine from my machine/browser but not theirs. From looking at a few posts it sounds like upgrading to the latest verion is the solution but I can't remember how to do this. I'm even struggling to find out which version they are on now!

In Admin > General Settings it says "Program Version 2.00" but in License Agreement it says "Software License Agreement v3.2 (April 26, 2007)"

Anyway can you please let me know the full process for doing the upgrade inc where I get the new version from?

hi,

sorry for the delay in getting back. i've been out of the office.

i have submitted the details though the second line support form (although it did not give me an indication that the info was submitted successfully, it just re-loaded the page?)

there should be one more vill showing called Casa Avalon (ref 0402). you will see all the villas in the "villas for rent" section when you login. Casa Avalon has some info in the "discounts" field and therefore should be showing in the right column.

Just to re-cap, the column on the right hand side of the design is used to show special offers by using an include which you can see the code for below. These propogate based on an if statement. Basically if there is content in the special offers field in the cms then show this villa in the special offers column. For some reason some villas are not showing up even if they have content in the special offers field? I think I remember a problem like this before and it was something to do with record numbers? Any ideas?

hi, i am using an include to show the content that goes in the right column of this site http://www.ibizaedgevillas.com/ (under the special offers header). The included file should show the special offers info if there is content in the special offers field, which works fine. However there is some other content which should only show if there is not any special offers content. For some reason this content is showing even when there is some special offers content. The code that I have used in the included file is below:

Images that are inserted by the wysiwyg do not have height and width attributes. is it possible to set it up so that it does have these?

hi, my customer has raised the following issue:

"Ampersands are not being escaped properly, for example “Project & Programme Delivery” does not use & in the HTML source. This occurs on other pages using ampersand"[/#000000]

This seems to be happening in text fields and text boxes. Is there any way to solve this? Also, what problems might this cause - I'm not familiar with why it's a problem?[/#000000]

The local value is 86400. If that's seconds then it's 24hrs but it seems to be more like 10-20mins?

Hi, this says that the default session time is set to one day which is the same in my init.pho file: ini_set('session.cookie_lifetime', 60*60*24 );

However, my customer (and myself), seem to be prompted to login again afer more like 10-20 mins of inactivity. Can you shed any light on this?

hi, i have a site that has lots of section editors which means that my client needs to scroll down the page in cmsb. is there a way to categorize these? eg my client has a bout 10 sections which could all be categorized under a "services" heading?
