Is there a way to add "blinking" text to WYSIWYG field? If no, can it be done in a different field type?

IMAGES dropping

Hi Dave. It is very random. In the WYSWYG the image is blank and not there. However, when I hit insert, it shows the file (ie. /cmsb/uploads/millerlogo.jpg). I then proceed to upload the same image and all works as normal. I did not actually see if the file is on the server (I'll do this next time). I'll keep watch, just wanted to see if any issues have been reported. Again, very random.

IMAGES dropping

There are times when the images I upload are dropping. I have the field defined as WYSIWYG. Image is JPG or PNG. Seems like when I'm updating other images, few of my images seem to drop. I have to upload again and then all seems to work fine. Is there an issue with uploaded images?

To give you more context. I have 144 golfer members. I'm creating golf parings of 4 in each group. I'm using a Foreign key to reference the golf member vs duplicating their information. The Foreign key works great, but I received an error when trying to add the 64th member. I'm thinking there is a DB limit, however, I'm reading there is 253 limit on MSQL tables. Not sure what.

Hi Dave. I've been adding foreign key to my table, where I need about 150 keys. While adding I received the following error.

"Error adding foreign key constraints"

"Last SQL query (visible to admin only)

Alter table 'cmsb_paring' ADD FOREIGN KEY

('group19_player4) REFERENCES 'cmsb_member' ('num') ON

DELETE RESTRICT ON UPDATE RESTRICT'

I've been using all the defaults and this occured on the 64th record.

Hi Dave. The Foreign key work perfectly. While I'm using the ID as the key, I can use SQL to create the text field to display (ie. 'firstame,lastname').

I have a table cmsb_member with num (record number), lastname and firstname. I have cmsb_tournament with member_id, member (as a list with advance SQL selecting cmsb_member lastname + firstname). How can I update cmsb->tournament->member_id with cmsb_member->num once the list option is chosen?

Ex. cmsb_member 10 (num), Smith (lastname), Greg (firstname)

cmsb_tournament create

cmsb_tournament member (list shows "Smith, Greg") to choose from. Once saved, I need cmsb_tournament->member_id = cmsb_member->num (10).

Is there a way to run reports outside CMS builder? I have a user that is not computer savvy to use the CMS interface. I would prefer they have an icon on their desktop that then executes the SQL to run a report. If this does not work are there any other sugguestions?

Jason - I'm on 2.17 with the same issue. I removed the .gz and all works when I use IE9. However it does not work with Firefox 16.0.2. Any ideas for FireFox?

I have a table with user information (fname, lastname, city, state, zip). I need a report that shows only a given state. Is there a way to prompt the user for the state versus having to create 50 reports with only the WHERE clause state specific.

I want to use CMS builder and the associated PHP code generated. When I say "integrate", I mean taking the CMS builder generated PHP code and adding to the HTML webpages. The question is can I add the PHP code directly to the webpages or must I work within Wordpress environment (editor, etc). I have never used Wordpress and normally just edit the HTML web pages directly. Reading the forums, leads me to think that I must work within Wordpress and direct edit may not work.

Just trying to determine if I can change the datatype of the "pricing" field from TEXT to FLOAT or INTEGER. Will CMS tools work without any issues?

FYI. I plan on using external SQL Admin tool to modify the table structure.

CMS Builder field types does not have selection for "integer" or "float". I'm storing "pricing" information and must execute SQL CONVERT to sort or do any numerical calculations. On the sort, this is causing full table scans due to the CONVERT statement. This is a big performance hit. Is it possible to change the datatype and store numerical values versus text values?

This work great. I added brand and category info to clearly define the "sku". Is there more documentation on creating plugins? For example, on the addAction function the first parameter 'record_presave', what other parameters are there.

Yes, I would like a specific example of how I would generate a unique sku. Below is the specifics.

Table: Products
Field: prodname [textfield]
Field: sku [textfield] (plugin to update this field on new rec)
Field: qty [textfield]

Do you see any issues with creating a MySQL Insert Trigger when a new row is created? I have a field called "SKU" and I want this to be a random #. Instead of user entering (and having to know a unique#) I was going to create a MySQL trigger to do this upon insert. Any concerns?

I have a table, called zipcodes, with zip codes. I have another table called affiliate with field “zip” defined as field type of “list”. This uses checkbox (multi value) “get options from database”, with zipcodes as the options and value. All is working fine. My question is around the SQL Where statement.

The database shows “zip” containing multiple values (from multi value checkbox). The data shows “76016 76092 76003” and my SQL where clause is not working. Any ideas? NOTE: the database actually has some additional characters between the zip codes. I think CMS uses this as separator chars.
