This is exactly what I did. I had a static site and when I installed the CMS software (which is in it's own directory) it had absolutely no effect on the existing site. From then on because the new pages I was building had .php extensions and the existing ones had .htm ones there was no chance of a file name clash. Then when I was ready to go live I just renamed home.php to index.php and removed index.htm ... and DONE!

Thanks Dave,

This is exactly what I was after. I now have the content area of the wysiwyg editor exactly the same width as the table where the content goes on the site.

I have to say that the support for this software is unbelievable... matched only by how good the software itself is. This is by far the best and most useful software package I've bought off the internet. As a web designer with very limited coding ability I'm amazed how simple yet powerful it is.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks Ross,

I was really after something that would make the content area exactly the same width as it appears in the site. Looks like Dave may have come up with something.

Thanks again for your help... much appreciated.

Hi Dave,

I'm trying to set the width of the wysiwyg editor panel CMS Builder). I want the view in the editor to best reflect how it will look in the site. The tool buttons pushing it wider than I want it is not a problem as I need it wider anyway.

I thought I had found the answer with this post however the code you mention in edit_functions.php is not there anymore. Are you able to let me know how to set the width for the wysiwyg editor. I don't know any php as such although I have managed to change a few small things (remove/add wysiwyg tools etc) which have worked out really well.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks Dave,

That explains it. Thanks for the fast response. Love the software more and more as I delve into it. Fantastic for the front end developer like myself.

Have you thought of adding a Form Builder as an optional extra. I'd like my clients to be able to make up forms that could have the resulting info emailed to an address of their choice. I'd definitely pay extra for that.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi There,

How do you preview a page you are working on in the CMS in the browser before it goes live?

Also, in the Features section of the CMS Builder product page on your website there is a section on "Publishing Features" which mentions options like "Hidden" and "Start and End" dates for content to be live. I can't find where these are set up, nor can I find any instructions in the Help files on the subject.

Cheers
Richard
