The upgrade of CMS Builder itself isn't going to impact your viewer pages code.  

It's only when PHP on your server is upgraded to version 7.x that you might find some older code needs to also be updated.

Even then, it will only be code that has been manually written outside of CMS Builder's code generator.

Do you have a dev server?  Or perhaps a local WAMP server? 

If you have either, you can switch those to PHP 7 and install your website.That will give you a good idea of anything that needs to be adjusted.

Could you double check you are using the latest version of the Permalinks plugin?

The reason I ask is because I can only find the code snippet you posted in version 1.00 to version 1.02. 

That code doesn't exist in Permalinks 1.07 and there are no direct calls to "mysql_query" in Permalinks 1.07.

I think what's happening here is you are using a recent version of Newsletter Builder.

Version 3 and higher no longer has the function "_nlb_generateAuthKey()".

What you'll want to do is instead is something like this:

// generate auth key - example: 64a3fb69cc - over a trillian possible values (16**10)
$authkey = substr( md5(mt_rand()), 0, 12 );

$colsToValues = array('email'          => $_REQUEST['email'],
                      'first_name'     => $_REQUEST['fullname'],

The Geocode plugin has a function called "geocodeAddress($address)".

You could pass the submitted address on your profile page to that function and get back an array of (lat, long) and add them to the database.

The code would look something like this:

list($lat, $lng) = geocodeAddress(@$_REQUEST['address']);

You'll also want to review the notes from the plugin about this function:

I have an idea that's a bit different than what you are starting with.

My first thought is setting up the "Image Library" as a multi-record section.  Each record would be a single image upload and text field called "Placeholder".

Let's assume some example placeholder names:

Image1
Image2
Image3

Note: the placeholders will need to be unique.

Next, we agree on the syntax for calling the images -> example: "#placeholderName"

When you are creating content in another section, you can access the images like this:

"Here's a great photo, #Image1"

Finally, we would build a plugin that runs on record_postSave that reviews the content field and swaps any of the placeholders with an image tag to the appropriate image file.

The plugin will need to include an array that maps out what tables to work and what field names to look for.

The two main options you have for setting the "FROM" address is by manually setting it in the template itself or by passing a placeholder from the front end form that uses the template.

Do either of those options apply here?

I think setting a background image via your WYSIWYG editor is going to be tricky.

Why does it need to be done this way? 

Could you look at having a separate upload field specifically for the background image?  It will be much easier to access the image in your code that way.

What I recommend is starting by having your page only display parent level categories.

That will involve a foreach loop to display each of the parent category names.  

As you loop through each parent level category, you'll need to do a look up for sub categories whose parent number is currently being displayed.

Are you looking to remove the borders when the images are being displayed in CMS Builder as you create/edit a record? 

Or are you looking to remove the borders when the images are displayed on the front of your site?

It is possible to display two lists on one page.

To start with, though, I recommend simplifying and focusing specifically on a page that lists all your blog posts.

Don't add anything about categories or single records or multiple lists.

Just build a page that lists all your blog posts regardless of category.

Once you have that, attach a copy of your file (instead of pasting code into a post), and I can review from there.

That ends up being something we would look at for you through consulting.

Having a name field added and updatable is an advanced option and you'll need to do some custom PHP programming.  

The idea would be that when the page submits, you need to have some code that manually updates the user's record in your "Subscribers" table with the "name" field you added to the page.

Having the backup file become a download is an interesting idea.  I'll see what the dev team thinks.

Are you familiar with the AutoBackup plugin?

There is an option in that which you can set to have the backups emailed to you.  That would help with downloading the file as well as becoming an archive for you.
