Disappointed with CMS Builder

hi from Portugal,

I have been using CMS Builder for some years and it´s a good software.

Interactive tools start with the plugins, great choice... but my problem it´s the ridiculous plug-in prices compared to the CMS Builder price.

I think 200$ it´s a good price for a CMS Builder, and of course you have to charge for the plugins, no problem with that.

Like i said, my problem is the plugins prices, they are very expensive comparing with the price of the main software. Lot´s of times clients ask me for simple things like permalinks - 100$, newsletter - 150$, facebook login - 179$, almows the price of cms builder... those prices are to mush.

Yes, you have a kiss ass support, but the way cms builder is going with those prices and 8 months with no updates... well, i have to consider other CMS.

tks for the reply.

I don't know if i´m doing the best way, but when i build a new section "About us", inside i will create always 2 versions of fields, for example.

Title_Portuguese
Title_English
--------------------
Text_Portuguese
Text_English
--------------------
OtherInfo_Portuguese
OtherInfo_English

The php code will show all the fields, if i´m making the PT version, so i will make a php file about_PT.php and delete all the English fields.

For the english version i will create a about_ENG.php and remove all the portuguese fields. Very basic.

I dont have a problem with this method, the boring part is having 2 php files, have to make the double work and in the future if i whant to change somenting in the html code i will have to make in 2 files.

My question is, can i have a way to have only on php file and show with a "filter" what language i whant. For ex:

I have all the fields in 1 php file, PT ant ENG. If i pass some king of value in the link, like, www.something.com/about.php?ENG

Sorry for the bad English and the very bad programing skills.
Hi,

Sorry the bad English.

I´m thinking building a website for my country, it´s a social network / wiki style, i will explain.

I want to make a site that people can register and insert touristic information, for example. I want to insert a beautiful lagoon with title, description, photos and Google map location.

This "post" will have voting and comments so that people can right stuff about this Lagoon.

The site will have category inside category with sub category, ex: Island nº1 > Location > Touristic Spots > Nature > Lagoons.

The category are fixed, only the admin can create category, but the users can insert information on these category's. it´s like i say, it´s more a wiki style then a social network.

This is the project, and now is the question. I´m a web designer with no programing skills,

1# Is CMS Builder the best solution for me?
2# Will i have the change a lot of code?
3# CMS Builder has a cache system?
4# Can i build a form to users can register and insert information?

Tks and again, sorry for the bad English :)
