Thanks, that worked after I changed the "Color:#red" to "color: red"

I did find the code that added the "#" to the class on the LI. So that has been fixed.

As far as the CSS goes, it is all generated by Instant Website. I added about 6 lines at the end of the file but that was all.

Tom,

Yes, I would take it off; however, I am not adding that. It is part of the Instant Website code and I'm not sure where it is coming from.

I know the menu is created by nav.php but I'm not sure where that file is adding the extra '#' to the HTML code.

Any idea as to where I should check for it ?

Actually, I'm wondering if there is a bug in the code.

I'm guessing that the first li id under the div should not begin with a '#' ?

Can you start the name of a class with the '#' ?

Unfortunately, that is not working.

If you look at the site www.mshof.com you will see what I want to do.

I am able to have all menu items turn red on hover; however, I also want "Home Page" and "Member Area" to also change to red on hover.

I have tried every class that I can see associated with those items but nothing works.

Any other idea as to what I can look for?

Instant Website css class

Good day.

I am running Instant Website and have a question.

I want to change the menu items to change to red when hovering over them. I have been able to do that for most of them. I can't seem to change the main heading.

For example: my menu looks like this:

Home Page
- About Us
- Contact Us
- Donations
- Newsletter

Member Area
- Login
- Member Profile

So I have been able to change the "About Us", "Contact Us", etc. so they change to red when hovering.

What I have not been able to do is to change the "Home Page" and "Member Area" links so they also change on hover.

Anyone else using Instant Website and have a suggestion as to what class, etc. to change?

I've gone through the code but anything I change does not affect them.

** On another note, do you guys have any plans on updating Instant Website? Maybe release some new templates?

Good day.

I am using Instant Website (love it) and had a quick question.

On one of my pages I have a link to a PDF form that I want users to download.

However, I'm not sure if it is possible to force it to be downloaded instead of opened in their browser. if it is possible, how would I go about doing that?

I am currently using CMSB 2.06 and want to upgrade the TinyMCE to the newest version 3.4.6.

Do I need to upgrade to CMSB 2.08 or can I just download the newest release of TinyMCE and replace the TinyMCE folder in CMSB 2.06 with the new TinyMCE folder ?

Things I'd like to see

Not sure if this is where I'd post this but I had a few suggestions.

I'd like to see a couple of new field types -- email, url, and phone.

Data in the "phone" field could be entered as 2055555555 but displayed as (205) 555-5555 or maybe a couple of other format choices.

The same for email and url -- they would automatically be checked to make sure they are in the correct format.

Then, under validation options, maybe have a ALPHA and ALNUM option. I've had fields where I don't want the user to enter anything like $, *, :, {, etc. so I'd have to enter the entire alphabet in the validation field. If we could just check ALPHA and have it check for just letters, it would save some time.

Not sure if anyone else has wanted these same options or not.

TinyMCE and mp3

I hope it's Ok to post this question here - I'm hoping that someone else who uses CMSB may know the answer.

I've used CMSB on 3 of my sites so far. I have a customer who is using the wysiwyg editor (TinyMCE) to change part of his site. He wants to be able to add an mp3 file to the site so that it will play when someone clicks on it. Does anyone know if that is possible with TinyMCE? So far, all I can see is that it would upload a flash, swf, or movie file.

Actually I think I found what I wanted.

When I go to the admin page I get an error saying that it can't connect to the database - I don't even get to the admin login page.

But, in the error message it says to check data/settings.dat.php so I think I'll start there.

Unfortunately I added a new user to my MySQL databases and the name was truncated so then it matched the name I already had. Which, therefore changed the password to the one I entered thinking it was going to be for the new user. And I forgot what I used for the original user.

After all is said, I now can't get to the admin area because the password is wrong. Where can I find the password in CMS so I can change it to the new one?

Urgent Upload problem

I've been having problems uploading files in the last couple of weeks.

I received some answers from a previous post but nothing worked.

Here is what happens:

I am trying to upload a 50meg MP3. The file field is set to accept MP3 and the upload limit is unchecked so that shouldn't be a problem.

This is what happens when using the Flash Uploader: the progress bar shows that the file has been uploaded (reaches 100%) but as soon as it reaches 100% I get a dialog box that pops up saying I need to login again and the file does not show up. This happens with anything over 15meg.

I changed my php.ini file to accept 100meg uploads and changed the max_input_time to 3000 and the max_execution_time to 3000. I've uploaded the php.ini file and still get the error.

When I go to the admin->general section of the site and click on "show upload limits", it still shows that the max upload is 10M (even hours after changing the php.ini).

Here's what happens when I turn off the Flash Upload: I get no progress bar so I'm not sure how far the upload gets but I don't get the login error. However, I get something else even stranger. After it uploads the file (which it still doesn't do), instead of the upload dialog box going away, it stays up and the website gets displayed in that box (will send screen shot if wanted).

Any idea what is up?

Ross,

I checked my php.ini file and it was set to 10meg.

I know I changed it before but I guess I didn't. So, I increased the max file size to 100meg. The uploads still get to about 90% done (about 40meg of the 50meg file) and then I get the popup window.

The message on the popup is:

I created a new section that has an upload field.

My customer has a 50meg file that he needs to upload so I took off the upload limit.

About 60% of the way through the upload he gets a popup window that says he needs to login again. His upload never finishes.

Any ideas what to look at to fix this?

That sort of helped. What I was looking for was which file to edit in order to add buttons/options to the wysiwyg editor (such as insert file, superscript, subscript, etc.).

But it looks like I found the file I needed in your post. The TinyMCE init is in the wysiwyg.php file.

Error Code?

It's probably something in my upgrade but....

I upgraded an account to CMSB 2.03 now I have a user who can log on but cannot drag items in the order she wants (she used to be able to).

Also, when I go into the User Accounts to check on her account, if I hit save or cancel all I get is a dialog box that has my website address and a number below it. I'm guessing the number is the user number of the account I was editing. Once I click out of that dialog box the save and cancel buttons do not work and I have to click on a different menu in order to get out of editing that user.

Any ideas as to what I can check?

I have two databases: programs and program_addresses

program_addresses has an upload field allowing upload of 1 image

I create a Select on programs database with a leftJoin on program_addresses

Well, I had to do two things --

1 - I had to change the date to the format you gave me.

2 - I had to change the order of the single and double quotes in the where clause to:

'where' => "startdate <= '$today' AND enddate >= '$today'"

(Double quote at the start and end and single quotes around the variable $today.
