The preview button is working! I do notice, however, that multipage sections have a preview button on the landing page. That button does not work. However, once you dig into the subsection editor, the preview buttons all work nicely.

It still isn't working. I have removed all where and limit references. Now, in the "About MIHC" section, all of the links bring up the same page. I will contact you by phone, since I must present this to my client tomorrow.

The section editor states 'leave blank to use Detail Page Url '.

However, I filled in the viewer URL for Client Spotlight, and it still gives the error. When I look at the URL, it is looking for the file in the cmsAdmin folder. How can we stop the system from looking in the cmsAdmin folder? When I add the full URL (/home/www/newcareinc/) to precede the file name, it adds this path after http://www.newcareinc.com.

When I put in the full http path to the field (http://www.newcareinc.com/clientSpotlight.php), I get an error that says "You must be logged in to use this feature!"

I'm not techie enough to understand what's happening. [:/]

Where do I put this preview path? If my low-tech client clicks on the button, they should be able to see the preview without workarounds.

Most of the subpage links (located in the pale orange column in the middle of the site) are broken. For example, if I go to the Services page and click on "Notice of Information Practices", it takes me to the link http://www.newcareinc.com/services.php?Notice-of-Information-Practices-4 with the error message "Record not found!"

The record exists in the CMS Builder database (otherwise, the link itself would not show up).

This is happening on almost all of the subpages.

I'm finding that the Preview button is looking for the page in the cmsAdmin directory. However, the page for the preview that I would like to specify is in the main /www/ directory. I have attempted to use a full URL path, but it keeps defaulting to the directory. I also do not see a place to change this in the General Settings [Admin]. How can I fix this?

I would like to use the list feature to create sub menus to a client site (www.newcareinc.com/home.php). Unfortunately, the links are broken. I'm not sure if it's because I re-ordered the records in the editors or something else. Do you have a solution and a way to keep them from breaking again?

I know that this happens frequently, but I think that I found my answer. When I re-imported the database data using PHPMyAdmin, it solved the issue.

I am in the process of moving my site from one server to another (www.tsuluwerks.com). The new location was showing an error until the "require_once" statements were updated.

Now that the statements have been updated, I no longer get an error, but none of the database-driven content is showing on the pages.

Does anyone know why the system isn't displaying the database content? The testing site is at www.tsuluwerks.net. The home page content is attached. The two includes, one for the list of solutions on the far right, and one for the main page content on the lower left, are not showing.

Unfortunately, it did not work. A sample of the results can be found at http://www.tsuluwerks.com/shamelessyou/. If the page is refreshed, sometimes a quote shows up, sometimes it doesn't.

Random display of entries

I am trying to get my web site to display quotes on pages based on the category of the quote.

For example, in the directory www.tsuluwerks.com/shamelessyou/, I would like for the quotes on the left of the page to show only if they have been categorized as "shameless".

I am using multiple checkboxes to categorize the quotes.

When I use the code below, it randomly cycles through the quotes. I notice that it's cycling through ALL of them, not just the ones marked "shameless". As a result, the page is often blank.

I have temporarily turned this off, but can anyone recommend why this code is not cycling through just the quotes that are categorized as Shameless? I tried checking capitalization and changing !== false to !== 0, == true, and == 1.

Drag Sort feature breaks links

I am finding that when I attempt to change the order of a list of products in the CMS Builder, all the auto-generated links in that list are linking only to the first product.

When I delete the list of products and start over, it works great. When I re-order them in the CMS Builder, all the links will only link to the first item created.

The error can be seen on the subpages of the product section at: http://www.financialtoolsfortrades.org/products.php.

I completely forgot the link and apologize for that. I have a resolution. I found it faster, though not quite as efficient, to set up separate editors and index/detail pages for each section. I'm leveraging includes as much as possible to cut down on future editing time.

Creating links without creating separate pages

Okay, my post from last week is missing. I am in desperate need of figuring out how to create a list of links that allows:
= the client to create new pages in the CMS builder
= will automatically update the listing of links without coding any html

The site I'm working on is at www.financialtoolsfortrades.org. If you click through to "aboutus", then to a few sub pages, you can see what's happening.

Is there a tutorial, guide, or sample code that will allow me to pull the link names directly from the database, then show the links from that section on the third-level pages?

Hi, gang:

I would like to create something similar, though I have set up the CMS Builder differently

All of the site sections and content are in a table called "Navigation". This is to help the client understand where to put new pages for each top-level category (photo attached).

The way that the design is set up, I would like to have the same menu items show up in the bar at the top of the page (see www.financialtoolsfortrades.org/aboutus.php)

This works great for the landing pages. However, once they click through to a secondary page, the submenu items only show the page that you're on (i.e. click through to "contact us").

This is because I'm using a field called "linkname" in the navigation table to create the links.

Is there a way to generate the links to the submenu items dynamically without breaking out the navigation table into five other tables? It would help my client with understanding the heirarchy of the pages as they add in new subpages (the main categories will stay static).

CMS Builder database errors

I'm having a few issues with a new install of CMS Builder. I have moved the site from one location to another. On the new server, I have run into the following:
= a series of errors and the need to resend data when updating editors
= keep getting kicked out of the system when in the middle of performing a task. It takes me to the log in screen
= CMS Admin.php page not loading, spending many minutes (i.e. 15+) trying to load the page
= LATEST: I'm at the login screen, but I cannot log in, as it is not accepting the login and password I was just using a few minutes ago.

I'm not sure what's happening, as everything was working fine (except bullet number one). I will see if I can access PHPMyAdmin to see if anything is missing in the database. And I'll check with the host. Has anyone other than Zickey been having this problem? The temporary install is at www.tsuluwerks.net at GoDaddy.

Zickey, who is your host? I am having the same problem and keep getting kicked out of the system. I'm not sure if it's a hosting or domain problem. I'm transferring my database from one host to another.
