Thanks for the tip. I will remember that for next time. This is a strange one. I still have access to the old site via ip. When I ftp there and look at the schema file the scrapbooking is missing from that one too. but when i use the IP to log into the admin on that site it shows up and I can access it. So if the Schema file controls access to the editors then I sure don't know what is happening here.

I guess while I have access to the data in the old site I will just create a new scrapbooking under a different name, edit the web page,

Thanks

I moved to a new host and updated to v2.17 and have been having some problems with paths etc. that required me to update the web pages. On one of the pages I was trying to fix there was an error about a DB table named scrapbook_retreat that I couldn't fix. I Went to the admin page and discovered that section editor was not listed. I thought that there had been an error in the DB when doing the backup from the old host or the restore to the new host. so I was going to re-create that section editor. I received an error message tellng me that table name is in use to chose another. I went into phpMyAdmin to look at the DB. The Table scrapbook_retreat was there. it looked OK. I did run the Check DB and it checked OK. I ran the fix DB even thought the Check DB said everything was OK. That did not fix the problem. That table did not show up. The is also another table that I noticed in the DB that is not showing up in the admin page. Any ideas on what when wrong and what I can do to fix it?

Yes, I understand that I cannot draw data from the old server. what I was saying is that some of the paths are working and some are not. I just replaced the
require_once "/usr/local/apache/htdocs/shetek.org/cmsAdmin/lib/viewer_functions.php"; with
require_once "/home/shetek/public_html/cmsAdmin/lib/viewer_functions.php";
Some of the pages were still working witht the /usr/local ..... path which I know is the wrong path and should not work which is what got me wondering. .

and now that I have the updated version it appears as though I need to change all the pages to
// load viewer library
$libraryPath = 'cmsAdmin/lib/viewer_functions.php';
$dirsToCheck = array('/home/shetek/public_html/','','../','../../','../../../');
foreach ($dirsToCheck as $dir) { if (@include_once("$dir$libraryPath")) { break; }}
if (!function_exists('getRecords')) { die("Couldn't load viewer library, check filepath in sourcecode."); }

And that should solve my problems. Is that correct?

I moved shetek.org to a new server and updated to 2.17at the same time. Now I am having a strange issue. some of the pages work fine and other just show errors because cant find the files. The paths on the new server are different than the old. plus the code in the code generator is different in 2.17 than in the 2.13 so I have to modify the .php pages to properly access the DB. This issue I am having is that some of the pages still work with the old path and the old code and some pages require the new code. almost like some of the pages are drawing on the old version and some on the new. I have gone in to the admin panel and updated the page and that is shown properly. But If I modity any part of the page in dreamweaver and replace it on the server then I get the errors on that page and it requires the new code. I plan to modify the pages but I am wondering if you know what is happening and short of removing the cms and reinstalling how can I be sure that the 2.17 is in place. the admin panel does say ver 2.17

The first field value that isn't blank is used.
Example Url: viewer.php?record_title_goes_here-123
Search Fields title, content

This section lets you control what search options are available on the editor list page[/#800080]. Disabling Search If you don't want any search options displayed just leave the box above blank.

Simple Search For basic search functionality enter a list of comma separated fieldnames on the first line only. The editor list will display a single keyword search field that allows your users to search on those fields. Example: title, content

Advanced Search For each search field you want to appear enter the following: Label|FieldList|searchType

label - This is displayed before the search field, such as: Category, Hidden, etc
fieldlist - This is the fieldname or fieldnames (comma separated) to be searched. If there are multiple fieldnames a text field will be displayed. If there is only one fieldname and it is a list or checkbox field a dropdown list of options will be displayed. (Tip: enter _all_ for all fields).
searchType - This can be one of: match, keyword, prefix, query, min, max, year, month or day. See the docs for more details on search types. Example:

Keyword|title,content|query
Status|product_status|match
Hidden|hidden|match
Full Name|createdBy.fullname (special case for searching by record owner)

This example search might look something like this:

Keyword Status Active On Sale Discontinued Checkbox Checked Unchecked

Tip: Use your own fieldnames instead of the examples. Order By
These sorting settings are used for both the editor[/#800080] and the viewers (although viewers can override them). Here are some common sorting values that can be used here and in the viewers. Use your own fieldnames instead of the examples.
title, author sort by title, then author

date DESC, title sort by date in descending order (newest first), then by title

price+0, date sort by price numerically, then by date (oldest first)

featured DESC, date DESC sort featured (checkbox field) records first, then order by date (newest first)

RAND( ) sort in random order (for viewers only)

Tip: The "Order By" field is actually just the standard MySQL ORDER BY clause of a SELECT statement. So if you're familiar with MySQL you can enter any ORDER BY clause you want here. Otherwise, congratulations! You just learned some MySQL! Max Records Max records for this section (leave blank for unlimited) Max records per user (leave blank for unlimited) Disable Add Don't allow adding records Disable View Don't allow viewing of records through "view" menu Disable Modify Don't allow modifying records Disable Erase Don't allow removing records Disable Preview Don't allow previewing records Disabled Accounts Viewers: Hide records that are "Created By" a user who is: deleted, disabled, or expired Hide Menu Don't show this section on the menu bar Required Plugins Example: plugin1.php, plugin2.php Drag Field Label Field Type Field Name Action
none text field text box wysiwyg date/time list checkbox upload separator
Record Number  none
num
system field
Created  none
createdDate
system field
Created By  none
createdByUserNum
system field
Last Updated  none
updatedDate
system field
Last Updated By  none
updatedByUserNum
system field
Order  none
dragSortOrder
modify erase
Title  textfield
title
modify erase
Content  wysiwyg
content
modify[/#0066cc] erase[/#0066cc]      Any ideas ?

Other users that can also update successfully from their own computers are unable to update when they use the new laptop. so it would appear to be a security issue with IE. I am wondering what settings in IE would not allow the update. Thanks Jerry

I have set up a document managemt system using a multi record. I have separate tables for each type of form. catagory. For example there is a table named employment forms. in that table there is an upload field and a text field named catagory. catagory is labeled Employment Forms so that will be echo'd to the page. So in that one table I have the documents for employment. Then there is another table set up the same named registrations for registration documents. On the website there is a documents page that shows all documents for download and are listed by catagory. What I want to do is on a separate page to list just one catagory from that multi record. So on a page that references registrations that I could pull just the documents having to do with registrations. I tried add the like statement

list($docsRecords, $docsMetaData) = getRecords(array(
'tableName'   => 'docs',
'where' => " catagories LIKE '%\temployment forms\t%' ",   ));

When I use that I get no records found and the page shows nothing.

What code do I use to sort on the field catagories

Thanks

I am sure something to do with the php in the code but just cannot figure out what it is. I guess I am not sure why it works in the right hand column but not the main body. Any ideas?

to look at the page I am talking about http://shetek.org/2-4grade.php this will show the two right column CMS regions and I just put the text in the body where I tried to add another.

HI Dave,

That is one of the suggestions that I found in the forum and tried. I did try that again in case I had it in the wrong place. And you are correct that it stops the loop after one image. Then I get NO image for the second, third, etc. listings. I get only the one image on the first listing only. The rest of the listings list all the info but no images. When I remove the <?php break; ?> that I just added then I am back to showing all the images for all the listings. What I would like is this. If I have 5 listings and each has 5 pictures I want the 5 listings to show on the listings page but I want only the first image of each listing to show. I only need to show all the images on the listingDetail page. Your answer seems to indicate that the loop for the images is nested inside the loop for the listing. That is not the way it appears the code is generated. It has a step2 display records which has an endforeach and then a step2a display uploads. Both seem to be independent loops and not nested. So can you help me out a little more. My code is displayed below:

Listings - List Page Viewer

<?php foreach ($realty_listingRecords as $record): ?>
Record Number:
<?php echo $record['num'] ?>
Featured Property:
<?php echo $record['featured'] ?>
Property Type:
<?php echo $record['property_type'] ?>
Price:
<?php echo $record['price'] ?>
MLS #:
<?php echo $record['mls'] ?>
Address:
<?php echo $record['address'] ?>
City:
<?php echo $record['city'] ?>
State / Province:
<?php echo $record['state'] ?>
Summary:
<?php echo $record['summary'] ?>
Description:
<?php echo $record['description'] ?>

View Listing : <a href="<?php echo $record['_link'] ?>">
<?php echo $record['_link'] ?>

<?php endforeach; ?>
<?php if (!$realty_listingRecords): ?>
No records were found!

<?php endif ?>

<?php foreach ($record['uploads'] as $upload): ?>
<?php if ($upload['hasThumbnail']): ?>
<img src="<?php echo $upload['thumbUrlPath'] ?>" width="<?php echo $upload['thumbWidth'] ?>" height="<?php echo $upload['thumbHeight'] ?>" alt="" />
<?php elseif ($upload['isImage']): ?>
<img src="<?php echo $upload['urlPath'] ?>" width="<?php echo $upload['width'] ?>" height="<?php echo $upload['height'] ?>" alt="" />
<?php else: ?>
<a href="<?php echo $upload['urlPath'] ?>">Download
<?php echo $upload['filename'] ?>

<?php endif ?>
<?php break; ?>
<?php endforeach ?>
