Thanks. The issue not that there were links leading to the page because there were not. The pages were pending or hidden so no links off the index pages were created yet. It looks like a pending or hidden page gets created and put on the server even though it isn't linked and the search engines find the unlinked page.

Is there a way to prevent a pending or hidden page from being created and put on the server so it doesn't get found until it is made active?

Hi - I have page that I can set the status as "visible" (shows on web site), "pending" (doesn't show on web site) and "hidden" (this is a hold over from Artman 2 and I forget what it does). If I create a page and set the status to pending or hidden, it does not appear on the web site but the page is visible to search engines. What do I need to do so a page is not available to search engines until the status is "visible?" Thanks.

In my admin area, the Section Access only lists "All Sections" as plain text and not a pulldown. How do I restrict user access by section? I'm using version 2.12. Wendy

The program directory is being called out from a local drive so when the code is generated, it's creating errors on the page. I hand-changed the php code to set the directory to the server and the error was resolved but it seems odd that the directory is not set to where the program is installed on the server.

Hi,

My program directory path is set to "Z:/Sites/Localuser/(name)/cmsAdmin" and it's causing the code to be: $dirsToCheck = array('Z:/Sites/Localuser/(name)/','','../','../../','../../../');

How do I change the program directory path to be the server name?

Hi - I'm trying to do a keyword search that would include the category name. I used: hoping that "name" would be the field value for category name but it's not. What do I need to put in the value to get it to search on category names?

Hi,

I am having a problem getting special characters to display when in WYSIWYG mode. I want to display the TM symbol so I'm using ™ in the HTML editor. For some reason, the WYSIWYG converts the code the lettter TM in the HTML code (I post the code then go to WYSIWYG mode again and then I go back to HTML mode the ™ has been changed to TM) and it's not displaying correctly in browsers. I had to set the field to text and forgo the WYSIWYG in order to get it to work. I want to keep using the WYSIWYG mode - is there a fix out there?

Hi -

I have created a publishing placeholder called articlePageChinese. The published files are: _chinese..

The pages are being generated correctly if you link to them by the full URL (ie: http://www.(domainname).com/(artfile)_chinese.shtml)

But when I try to create this link from a search temp$article.title$, the URL that gets generated is: http://www.(domainname).com/_chinese.shtml - the (artfile) is missing.

Can't figure out where the error is.

Hi, I'm trying to set up more than one article page template. I have article data that I want to publish to two different templates. I set up a new publshing rule called uniqueArticlePage and on my category index page, I use the publishing rule: $published.uniqueArticlePage.url$. When the catetory index page is published, the links to the articles don't the file name - only the .shtml extension is printing so the URL is http://www.(sitename.com)/.shtml rather than http://www.(sitename).com/filename.shtml. What am I doing wrong?

Hi - I'm trying to link an article title directly to an uploaded file, if there is an uploaded file, or to an external link, if there is an external link. The external link part is working but the file attachment part is not. I'm using the following code:

Sort Order Problem

Hi -

I'm having an issue sorting by number. On the main page, the sort displays correctly but when I click on a link (article), on the article page, the sort order changes and some of the records are moved out of sort by number order. Not sure what other information you need. The site was set up by Mike B at Interactive Tools.

Hi - I have some articles that start with a lowercase letter. In the alphabetical sort, these titles are being put at the bottom, after the z's. Besides changing the lowercase to uppercase (which I can't do b/c it's a company name), how do I get the alpha sort to be not case-sensitive.

Hi - I'm having a problem with a template. I am getting a linked space after a linked image. I can't figure out how to get rid if it. I've attached the code for the template and bolded the place where the space is occuring and the rendered code and bolded the place in which I belive the space is being generated. How do I alter the template to prevent the space?
