How about drag and drop?

Instead of clicking up and down several time, it would be nice to have drag and drop on sections similar to other software.

This way the user could simply drag a section to where they wanted it to be.

Whilst these are a good idea, it also means that anyone who has a regular cms builder does not have access to these templates, to either use them or get ideas from them. It would be nice if these could be made available say in a members area?

We have for example league level - http://www.fansfocus.com/football/news.php/league-Conference and club level - http://www.fansfocus.com/football/team.php/team-Billericay%20Town

Within our CMS - we have say...

field name - league
field type - list
display as pulldown
List Options get options from database (advanced)
Section Tablename leagues
Use this field for option values league_name
Use this field for option labels league_known

and...

Field Label Team
Field Name team
Field Type list
Display As pulldown
List Options Get options from MySQL query (advanced)
SELECT team, team FROM cms_teams WHERE league = ''
Advanced Filter: Refresh list when this field changes: league

When a news item is entered, we simply select the league, and then choose the team within that league if applicable.

The problem is quite often we have an article that is applicable to two teams, these might be in the same league or different.

Therefore we would like to find a way to achieve this, without re-publishing the same article more than once, which is not really practicle.

Hi,

Okay - I really need to display my articles in more than one section.

Whilst this should be fairly simple - it isn't :(

I have a series of leagues, and depending upon which league is selected it then shows the teams within that league.

Whilst it is optional to select a team, it is impossible to select more than one team as it is as a drop-down.

The problem I have is that quite often the news article will relate to more than one team.

Therefore my question is 'How can I select more than team, whilst still having teams displaying automatically relating to each league?'

With 800+ teams I can't display them in one list.

Or is there another way?

Your client could put anything in the field link_creatorRecord['emergency_link'] and then simply blank the field out, with nothing in it to hide the link.

certainly looking at your rss feed, I can't see a summary or content, so it certainly looks like the line...

is at fault. If your field is called summary, then I can't see where the issue might lie, especially as the other fields are working.

Assuming that your description field is called summary rather than say content, then I can't see why this line should not work - however confirm to see the field name within your table.

incidentally, I use, the code below to limit my content to 75 characters rather than posting the ful article in the RSS feed.

This should be fairly straight forward in theory - simply have a stylesheet for each theme, and have these stylesheets referenced in a table.

However your issue comes when people select their 'theme' - how do you save their preferences without users logging in or cookies being saved on their computer.

So your users would have to select a theme on each page.

As far as I am aware the instant reality version is simply CMS Builder with additional templates.

So perhaps if large changes are required anyway, stick with the parent product.

You can have wysiwyg boxes or text boxes, so the choice is yours.

Not sure about PayPal, but there may be another post of these forums relatign to that.

I have also seen a thread on 'featured listings' - so that should assist.

So in my view CMSB will be fine. Good lcuk :)

Personally I use ultraedit, sometimes I will toss the code (or parts of it) into dreamweaver.

I also use beyond compare a lot to copy chunks of data between pages - very simple.

Hi Summer,

I have had a further look at this for you :)

Looks like it is an issue with the forwarding of your site.

If you look at http://fbcozona.com/staffdetail.php then the images do not display, however at http://www.snowbirdy.com/ozona/staffdetail.php they show fine.

The images that are showing on the first version are coded as http://www.snowbirdy.com/ozona/cmsAdmin/uploads/thumb/Denny_herrick_(2)_001.jpg, but those not appearing are coded relative to the root - which of course if not on the domain of fbcozona.com

So the only way that they will show under this domain is for you to include the real domain in the html.

Either that or you will need to alter the way that your domain is forwarding your visitors, or grab some cheap hsoting of your own to host the site.
