Have a look at this thread where Steve is doing something similar with a separate field:

I tried pasting steve's code into the "html view" on the wysiwyg editor but it didn't show up at all. I think using a seperate field is probably the best way. I did a few google searches but couldn't find much on pasting Javascript in Tinymce (the wysiwyg editor), and even once it's in there, there doesn't seem to be a way to tell where it's been pasted.
