File upload permissions

We are using CMS Builder to manage file uploads.

The problem is that the files seem to be uploaded with permission 600. This means that nobody but the owner can view them. Is this a server issue or is there somewhere we can set the permissions for uploaded files through CMS Builder?

Many thanks for your help.

Are you using a recent version? CMS Builder tries to reset the permissions for hosts that would otherwise create restrictive permissions like that.

If you can email me FTP and CMS login details as well as steps to reproduce I can take a look. Email dave@interactivetools.com (email, don't post login details to forum).

Hope that helps!

Hi Vaisoco,

Usually this is an issue with the server configuration. Newly uploaded files from PHP are being created in a temp directory but not being given adequate permissions.

Getting hosts to change their setup can be hard so we added a workaround in 1.23 for this:
- Compatibility: Upload file permissions are automatically changed for servers that save uploads with read permissions

If you haven't already done so, try upgrading.

Let me know if that fixes it for you.
