User account permission in CMS Builder

Hi, there.

Is it possible to set up a user account in CMS Builder so that the user can edit an article, but it won't go live until it has been approved by an admin user? i.e. set up a limited access account.

Thanks!

As an extension to that question, are there any plans to build in viewer-level access controls? i.e.: members-online areas, blocking certain records from being seen? Etc.

Nigel,

You can do that by creating a checkbox field called "hidden" that is "checked" by default and "admin only".

Then regular users won't see the field and only admins will be able to toggle the hidden status.

Hope that helps!

Hi J,

Yes, over time we do intend to add those features bit by bit. The trick is figuring out a simple way to do it that works with everything else.

Re: [Dave] User account permission in CMS Builder

Hi, Dave.

Is there any way that the CMS can notify the admin user that a non-admin user has updated an entry and that it needs to be checked/allowed?

Thanks,
