unable to permanently delete field

I created a single-record editor, which by default intially shows a field called "title".
I deleted this field, but it keeps reappearing! I also deleted the field manually from the database, and confirmed that it was no longer in the table. As soon as I return to CMS Builder and change screens, the field mysteriously reappears.
I'm baffled. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Deborah,
Did you remove it from the field editor in CMS Builder? CMS Builder keeps track of it's fields in a separate file and will recreate them if it finds they don't exist in MySQL.
If you've tried that and it keeps coming back email me CMS and FTP login details and steps to reproduce and I'll take a look for you (email dave@interactivetools.com, don't post login details to forum).

Thanks for the reply. I did attempt to delete it from the field editor several times. I think what worked was opening the record and saving it after deleting the field.
In any case, it is gone now...
Thanks again.
Deborah
