What are the tick boxes for?

Hi guys,
Stupid question I've been wanting to ask - when I go into a section (multi), it presents all the records with a tick box next to them. What is this tick box for? I've thought it was to make maulitple drags possible, or multiple deletes but it doesn't work. Please enlighten me - I am sure it is obvious...[:/]

Hi there,
For anything under the "Advanced Commands" dropdown box (at the bottom left corner of the menu), which in the article list, is "Erase Selected". So yes, it's used to delete multiple articles. :)
