Whacked out admin layout.

Help! I seem to have a problem with the admin interface. It works OK, but the layout is all whacked out and I can't seem to figure out what causes it. (See attached screenshot) I don't think I altered any styles or code for the admin interface.

What could be causing this and how can I fix it? It doesn't matter what resolution I am using.
It makes it hard to navigate when everything is at the bottom of the screen!

Thanks in advance

Re: [rconring] Whacked out admin layout.

Are you using IE 6 or 7? Some of my clients have reported a similar issue, but they also seem to be missing some of the left-side menu items. I use Firefox/Safari on a Mac, and have no issues.... Microsoft at it again! [angelic]

Re: [rsekaly] Whacked out admin layout.

By golly, you get a gold star!

I am using IE6 on most machines. I have Firefox installed on all development machines in the office but it never occurred to me that the problem was in the browser. It renders perfectly in the Firefox browser.

Thanks for the answer as to the cause, now I need a solution for IE6.

Any Ideas?

Hi Guys,

This is a CSS display issue with IE6. We've just recently discovered it and are working on fixing it for the next release. We just need to find a usable computer in the office with IE6! :) Hopefully we'll have that fixed very soon.

Thank you Dave ...

I have changed my default browser to Firefox and will suggest the same to the only 2 clients I have using IE6.

Dave,

Do you have any idea about when you may have a resolution to the admin IE6 compatability problem? I am catching some flac from my clients who don't want to install a different browser and certainly don't want to "upgrade" to IE7 which has it's own set of problems. I can hardly blame them.

Still love the product ... it is full of surprises and exceeds my expectations!

Hi and a Happy New Year !

I have a file (ui.css) which is compatible with IE6 :

line 24 add : height: 60px;
line 35 add : height: 16px;
line 43 add : width: 690px;

You can test it and if you find an error, you can inform me ?
(It is compatible with the other browsers.)

P.s. : Dave, I do not know if you know but I like much IETester :

Thanks for sharing your CSS fix and the link to IETester, I haven't seen that one! It looks helpful.
