Is "draft" status available for new content?

I am installing CMS Bldr for a group's web site and often there are important legal requirements about information they post.

The Director would like to have any new CMS content checked out before it goes live.

As I see it, even a Writer's submissions will immediately post to the site.

Is there a way, as there was in the old Article Manager, to have alerts of new content sent to a higher level "Editor" for approval before the content goes live?
Thanks in advance, I am eager to find this out!!

This can definitely be done within CMS Builder. Its not a core feature, but it can be done by creating an "approved" checkbox field that can only be changed by an admin level user. Then when you setup your templates, you specify to only display records that have been approved.

Hi, Thanks for the information.

Can you advise if an email alert can be sent to the "administrator" when such an option is used?

Probably not, but of course we all think CMSB can do anything.

Hi Julia,

No email alert function yet, no. We'd have to custom build that for you if you wanted it.

Another workaround would be to show the "hidden" status in the editor list. That way you could sort by it and see all the newly submitted articles at the top.

Hope that helps!
