Problems upgrading 1.23 to 1.25

I'm having problems upgrading from 1.23 to 1.25. When I originally installed version 1.23 (less than 30 days ago), I renamed the "cmsAdmin" folder -- let's just say the new folder name is "shoosrocketAdmin." When I downloaded the upgrade, all the 1.25 files were contained within a folder entitled "cmsAdmin." Every time I try to move the new 1.25 files in the cmsAdmin folder to my previously renamed shoosrocketAdmin folder in order to upload them to the proper folder, I get error messages and fatal script errors when running the shoosrocketAdmin/admin.php page.

When I simply upload the new version "as is" and leave the folder name as "cmsAdmin" it works fine, but asks for all my install information as though I am installing the application for the first time rather than upgrading from a previously installed version. What am I doing wrong or how can I upgrade my version and keep the files in the shoosrocketAdmin folder?

This is my first post so please let me know if you need more info. I know this is confusing as I am not explaining it well.

Note: I am doing all of this using Dreamweaver CS3.

Thanks.

Hi shoosrocket, welcome to the CMS Builder forum! :)

The cmsAdmin folder name isn't required. So if you've named your folder something else you can upload by upoading all the files from /cmsAdmin/ (in the zip) into whatever folder you have on the server.

The first thing to check would be that your FTP program isn't removing all the old files. We don't want to remove the old files, just upload the new files from the zip over top of some of them.

Hope that helps, let me know if you need more assistance with this.

Thank you! I downloaded v1.26 and uploaded without incident. Everything works fine. Thank you again. I'm looking forward to diving-in and working with CMS Builder.
