missing php 'gd' extnsion

I was installing CMS builder and ran into this error. Never encountered this before.
This program requires the PHP 'GD' extension.
Please ask your server administrator to install missing PHP extension(s).
Can you advise on what to do about this?

Hi Niki,
CMS Builder requires a PHP extension called "GD" to create thumbnails and resize images. Almost all PHP programs use this extension to resize images and almost all hosts have it installed, but some don't.
If a host doesn't have it installed and we try to resize an image we'll get an error, so CMS Builder automatically checks for it on install.
The solution is to email your host or server administrator and ask them to install the GD php extension.
