I still think my idea should work :). I just think we are missing each other on how it gets implemented.
Basically, we setup a variable to keep track of what the previous date was.
Each time you loop through the record, it checks if the current date equals the last date. If the dates match, you don't display the </events> tag. If the dates don't match, put the </events> tag.
You want to have a </events> right after though. This will make sure there is always a closing </events> tag.
Does hat make sense?
