After doing some testing I think what you'll want to do is start with a clean slate and add the basic viewer code back in again.
From looking at the code, I wasn't able to tell if you were setting up a detail page or a list page but regardless, if you start with the basic code you find in the code generator, it will all work perfectly and you can customize from there.
Keep me up to date with how you are making out :).
