Giving permission to users on certain sections

Is there a way to give different permissions to users for different sections on the site?
For example, I want to give some users access to the classifieds and jobs section, but other users would only get access to the classifieds.

Thanks for posting!
You can give each user specific access to the system so for example, sally can only post to the articles section and bob can only post to the blog section.
To do click on your User Accounts section and modify one of them. Look for the area labeled "Section Access". In the "Access" drop down, select "by section" and that should be it.
