'Email this page' discrepancy in IE

In Firefox and Safari this works as expected, however in a Multi-Record Module on the detail page where the operator to email a friend is included, in IE (8 to be specific) I get the long URL reference before the link to email a Friend. (ie. In Firefox, when you click 'Email This Page,' an email is opened with the page URL as the Subject, and the text only reads 'Email This Page.' In IE8 the text for 'Email This Page' reads 'http://174.143.92.42/waxahachiechamber.com/calendar/defaultDetail.php?Jacquelines-Training-Day-3">Email this Page'.

Is this something incorrect in my Viewer URL's? The actual code for the Email function is simple:

<a href="mailto:?subject=<?php echo thisPageUrl() ?>">Email this Page</a>

And as I said, it works as expected in Firefox.... I'm just (as usual) hating IE at this moment, any explanations?

My Viewer URL's are set to http://174.143.92.42/waxahachiechamber.com/calendar/defaultDetail.php which is clunky, but this is mainly because the site is not in full production yet and this way is easier to set up the CMS database.

Hi,

I tried out the pages in both Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 and I'm not able to recreate the issue:

The "Email this Page" link appears correctly in both browsers and when clicked, they both open an email with the page URL in the email title field.

Do you have access to another computer running IE 8 that you can test it on?

Hi,

Since the "Email this page" code is valid html, the next step I would suggest is to determine what is different about the computer systems that display the error and the ones that don't:
- settings within IE 8?
- custom add-ons?
