Server suffered a crashed drive; CMSB not working now

Hi, there.

Yesterday, my host told me that the server my site is on had a crashed drive. My site is now up and running - http://www.commonsensedesign.net - but CMSB that was installed on it is giving me an error page: http://www.commonsensedesign.net/cmsAdmin/admin.php.

Any advice on how to fix this, please? I'm using CMSB for a demo on my site, but no-one can see or use it until I get the software up and running again. http://www.commonsensedesign.net/newsList.php

Thanks,

Hi Nigel,

Can you check with your host that the mySQL database still exist and also that the user account (with permissions) to access that database still exists?

The error message suggests that the user doesn't exist anymore.

Send me an update to damon@interactivetools.com.

Thanks, Damon. Turns out my host figured out what needed to be done, so everything is back to normal.
