Hi Dan,

Nothing in there looks too complicated. It looks like the first column is just a drop down search that uses Javascript to automatically submit the search, and the second column is just a standard "search this field" text.

So ... yeah, there's nothing complicated in there. :) The Javascript redirect part isn't part of CMS Builder, but that's just layout -- just make sure you have the JavaScript, and you can have it search through CMS Builder fields.

Hi,

I'm facing the same problem.

I manage to do the search with drop down but I'm not sure how to use the "search this field" thingy. What should I put in the url to search for every terms?

An other problem is that it list by default all the items before even doing a search and I don't want that.
I'd like the item listed only after a search is done.

Do you have an idea how to do it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you describe exactly which fields you want to search on, and how you want your results displayed?

If you could provide a link to an example, it would be really helpful.

Let me know, and I'll take a look at it for you.

My objective is to do pretty much exactly what you see in the example.

I want a field where the user can enter anything he wants (year, producter name, cepage etc...) and a drop down for a range of price. When he validate his search I'd like to display a list of item fitting the search.

I can't send you the link now. But I will tonight.

Here you go Jason:

Link to my page: http://69.163.236.206/produits.php

And I attached the layout with what I'd like to do with the second search.

Let me know if you have questions.

Hi,

I need a little more information.

In your layout image, you have a textfield and a drop down list. Using these, what fields in the database are you wanting to search? Are these two fields part of the same search, or do they search for different things?

Let me know. Also, if you could attach a copy of your produits.php file, that would help.

Thanks.

For the text field I'd like to search in all the tables that are used in the drop downs in the first search.

The drop down aside of the text field would list ranges a price.
The table containing the prices would only have a list of price, not ranges.

I'll attached the php in a few minutes.

Thanks.
