Hi Guys.
I'm building an intranet for a client. One of the sections is a functions multi-recrod section where enquiries are captured and details of the function will be maintained.
The client will be using the admin itself to create and maintain the "function" records.
From enquiry to close, there will be a number of conversations etc, where changes, additions will be made.
I'm hoping to put the "related records" field to use here. I've created a multi-record section called "contactLog", thinking that each time a function is discussed, the client can make a new note, and this note is then tied in via a related records field.
Would this be the way to do it?
I can see that I could have the related field search and display related notes from the contactLog table in the specific functions item, however can I have the related notes "generated" from within the editing screen of a function?
Am I trying to do too much here?

Hi Tim,
It sounds like using a related record field would be the best way to do this. Currently, there isn't a function to allow you to create a related record directly from the section editor. There is a link, however, that says "See related Records" which will bring them to the section editor of the related records. They could create a record from there.
Hope this helps.
