I've just updated a site (EP-Dan.com) from text in .php to use CMS Builder for 90% of the content. Our manager is asking if the text stored in mysql will get updated in google searches in the future. Or another way to state it: is using CMS Builder, versus straight .php or .html, limiting what google will find in our site.

Yes, Google will most certainly update along with your site. Note that Google and other search engines will check popular sites more frequently, so it may take some time for changes to show up on Google. This won't be affected by whether you use PHP or HTML pages.
In fact, no one outside of your web server can know whether you're using static HTML pages which are updated by hand or PHP pages which automatically update, except that your URLs will give them away. For a long time, people were trying to make their dynamic URLs look like static URLs, believing that it would be better for SEO, but Google has stated that they treat both the same: [url http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/09/dynamic-urls-vs-static-urls.html]http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/09/dynamic-urls-vs-static-urls.html[/url]
Whether you're using a database to drive your content (with or without CMS Builder) also cannot be known by third parties. So, no, CMS Builder will not limit what search engines will find on your site.

If you use Google Site Search, the initial indexing of your site will happen very quickly.
