Image upload problem - all images uploading as horizontal

Am I missing something here? I am creating a photo gallery and have an image upload field. I set the width and height both to 640 pixels and thumbnail width and height both to 140 pixels to accommodate horizontal and vertical images. When I upload vertical jpgs and it resizes, it is also making them horizontal. I have checked through all settings and can't see any setting for this. I turned off the flash uploading and tried in Safari and Firefox on a mac. Any ideas?

Hi,

So you have an image that is 640 x 640 before it's uploaded, and then CSM Builder is resizing it after you upload it. Is that correct?

If you edit your upload field, you can turn off image resizing except for thumbnails. You may want to try that.

Hope this helps.

I have a jpgs that are actually 4080x2720 and am letting cmsbuilder resize it when I upload it. I want it to resize to either 640x427 or 427x640 and a thumbnail to 140x93 or 93x140. So I set up an image upload and in input validation put under "resize images larger than: width 640 height 640" and under Create thumbnail "width 140 height 140". When I upload a vertical image - it automatically sizes but then gets turned sideways to be horizontal. Why is it getting turned and not staying vertical?

Hi,

If you could email me your CMS login and FTP details along with one or two sample photos to test to jason@interactivetools.com, I can take a closer look into this issue.

Please only email this information, don't post it to the forum.

Thanks.
