Hi Guys,

I've just installed CMS Builder and I have a couple questions. Please let me know if you don't understand anything I'm trying to explain.

1. Is it possible to remove these links (Help | License | View Website >>) from the left menu for all user accounts, except the main admin account?

2. Is it possible to create or use the search functionality that exists on the editor list page within an actual webpage on the website, e.g. I want search functionality for my events page?

3. With the website membership add-on, is it possible to create a default user account type for those people who subscribe to the website? I.e. if people sign-up for a membership account only Author access must be granted and to certain sections that I pre-specify.

4. Does CMS Builder allow you to create front-end user feedback fields? I.e. comments on news articles, etc.

Thank you - that's all for now.

Kind regards
Shawn

Hi Chris

Thank you for the feedback and the plugin - very much appreciated.

Sorry one other question - how do I remove the "v2.05" on the admin homepage?

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

My pleasure!

The easiest way to do this is to replace the entire "Welcome to ... v2.05" text with a plugin. See attached. You can change the message in the plugin from "Welcome!" to whatever you want.

Hope this helps! :)
All the best,
Chris

Hi, I have another quick question:

If you upload an image and set a thumbnail size, does the thumbnail size remain the same for both the list page and the detail page?

Or is it possible to have a 100x100 thumbnail on the list page and a 250x250 on the detail page for the same image?

Hi,

When you create a thumbnail, it's the same size regardless of where you display it. In CMS Builder, you can specify up to 4 thumbnails for any uploaded image. These can all be different sizes.

If you go to your section editor and modify your your upload field. You can then specify the sizes of the different thumbnails. So you can have thumbnail 1 set to 100 X 100 and thumbnail 2 set to 250 x 250. Then you can just display thumbnail 1 on the list page and thumbnail 2 on the detail page.

Hope this helps.

Hi Shawn,

We can get a quote for that. If you could send an email to consulting@interactivetools.com with a list of requirements for what you would need the plugin to do, we can work something out.

Hope this helps.
