Hello, I would like to have my articles displayed in DESCENDING order depending on the date, but still allow the editors to move them with the "dragsortorder" function. How can I do this?

I don't believe this is possible. Drag/Sort is an all or none ordering method.

- Open your CMS
- Go to Admin > Section Editors > The Specific Section
- Remove the Drag Sort Order field
- Click on the 'Sorting' tab at the top
- in the order by box, enter "date DESC"
- Click Save Details

Hi svsanchez,

Do you mean that you want to be able to drag records, but have new records to start out at the bottom of the list instead of the top?

If so, you can do this by changing your section's "Order By" from "dragsortorder DESC" to "dragsortorder". You can find that option in the Section Editor under the Sorting tab.

Note that you'll need to rearrange all your existing records because they'll get flipped around when you make this change!

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

EDIT: Oops, I'm a little late to the party! Looks like zip222 has this covered already! :)
All the best,
Chris
