Email all members following updates to a section

Is there a way to send an email notice to all members following an update of a section?
I am using the Membership plugin and have a section in a website which gets updated with new dosuments for some employees of a company. This works fine, but the managment wants to automate the notification of the employees by sending out an email to all members when the section has been updated. Is this possible?
Could the emailOnApproved.php plugin be used somehow? (see: http://www.interactivetools.com/iforum/Products_C2/CMS_Builder%3A_Plugins_%26_Add-ons_F40/gforum.cgi?post=80429;search_string=Email%20On%20Approved;t=search_engine#80429) I have it installed already and am using it to email the members once their membership has been approved. Not sure how to have it send email to all members on an 'update' of a section though...
Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Yes this is possible to do. The emailOnApproved.php has the basic setup you would need, but it would probably be best to create a separate plugin since it would have different functionality.
As I said, the basics of what you need to do are already in the plugin, so if you're comfortable modifying the code, that should get you started. If not, we can always create a customized plugin for your. Just email consulting@interactivetools.com with all your requirements and we'll be able to give you a quote.
Hope this helps.
