Error Message on Login Page

Why are my advertisersi receiving the follow message on the page one enters the Login and Password....
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 431413680 bytes) in Unknown on line 0
and how do I get rid of it... This message does not stop one from logging in, except they are afraid to do so.
Please note... I DO NOT want to update the application to a newer version.
