Uploads Issue

Hi there,
I have a lot of Uploads on my Web Site that I upload the same file for multilple products lines (and even some images). Each time I upload the file, it renames it. If the image or pdf file changes, instead of being able to reload the file via ftp once, I need to manually re-update it for each item.
Is there a way, I can make that it does not rename the files, so that I can ftp the new file to the proper directory and not have to modify it in the Admin several times? This would save me a lot of work and time.
Thank You,

Hi,
The renaming occurs when the same file is uploaded to the same directory more than once. Instead of overwriting it, CMS Builder appends a number to the end f the file name.
If you're experiencing this problem over multiple sections, one thing you could try is to give the upload field for each section its own directory. You can do this by modifying your upload field. Under "Advanced Options" you can check "Use custom upload directory" and then set the specific directory you want those images stored in.
If this doesn't work for you and you want an uploaded file with the same name to overwrite the current file, we can look into a custom programming solution for you. If you're interested in this, please send an email outlining your requirements to consulting@interactivetools.com
Hope this helps.
