This is kind of weird.
It came to my attention when I tried to use the "modify home page" plugin to create a short set of instructions for public demo users that they could see when they first logged in.
I’m currently using the following plugins:
Auto Backup
createPDF
Create Records Here
**Display Demo Notice
Modify homepage
Remove Extra Whitespace
When I enter the demo mode in V2.07 some plugins are not disabled (Auto Backup, Create Records Here, Remove Extra Whitespace), while the others are disabled (including the Display Demo Notice Plugin).
When I return to the normal mode none of the plugins that were disabled return to active status.
In V2.08, all 6 of the the plugins in the list are disabled when in the Demo mode and none return to active status when re-entering the normal mode.
Thanks,
Jerry Kornbluth

Hi Jerry,
The way demo mode works hasn't changed between v2.07 and v2.08, so it's strange that you're having a different experience. The reason demo mode disables plugins is to limit available functionality to give a basic version of the software.
In either case, you'd have to re-enable plugins after taking the software out of demo mode.
If you're still experiencing problems, please fill out a 2nd Level Support Request and we can take a look.
Thanks

Jason,
Thanks for your response and the offer for 2nd level support.
Since in V 2.08, all non system plugins are deactivated and all the system plugins remain active in the public demo mode, and now that I understand why the plugins were deactivated in the first place, the current situation works for me.
It was just the inconsistency that threw me a bit.
