We're looking to use the membership plugin on a new website, but need to store the site (membership) users in a separate table from the CMS users. Is this as simple as setting up a new table in the CMS with the appropriate fields and changing the table name in websiteMembership.php or would it involve some more advanced programming?

Hi,

The plugin makes use of built in CMS Builder functions that use the "accounts" table, so using a different table for website membership isn't easy to do.

Why do you need to have membership users in a different table? If it is for security reasons, you can have your signup form set it so they don't have any direct access to sections inside CMS Builder.

Hope this helps clarify. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.

Thanks
